I am a news journalist for an online site and was looking for something that was lighter to carry than my HUGE shoulder cam and tremendously heavy tripod. Once I upgraded my iPhone to the 13 Pro Max and discovered that it took wayyyyy better pics and video than my older shoulder cam, I needed something light, steady and portable to use with my iPhone. This rig solved everything. I'm out the door with only one thing in my hand, strap it into my SUV with a seatbelt and off I go. The set-up on site is as easy as just finding a spot to place my tripod (among the many other stations there with their bulky, heavy, outdated equipment). I also purchased an external battery pack in case I run out of charge on the iPhone (which attaches to the back of the rig), along with a set of wireless lavalier mics which pair perfectly with the audio cord and adapter included in the rig package. I attached the lavalier receiver to the extra mounting shoe that comes with this package that I installed on one of the hand grips. I'm now more mobile, streamlined and have the most up-to-date equipment. I highly recommend this rig set-up.

Overall the rig is great. Very sturdy and holds a big phone. I have the ultra 24. I upgraded to the larger S20 microphone for ASMR videos and wow. What an amazing sound. So crisp It picks up everything. Great customer service!!!

I used the top quality cage and decided to expand to the full rig because it featured the vertical position. Perfect for all the 9:16 aspect ratio I shoot. Mounting the cage in the vertical position on the tripod didn't work. It was wobbly at best and the screw wouldn't stay in position if I changed the tripod position. The screw to mount it to the tripod was too short for the vertical position. It was secure in the 16:9 position. The assembly and operating instructions are flimsy and useless for a rig at this price point. I'm going to repurchase the cage, handles and battery pack attachment those were solid. I will post an update my experience with that product.

Fantastic rig. It feels sturdy, it accomplishes everything it says. The one issue I have was the media adaptor does not have enough ports. I purchased the SmallRig 4-in-1 media adapter and that works great.

The media could not be loaded. Very happy with the quality. Sturdy with all the right accessories. Cant wait for my husband to put it together and start creating content for his youtube EjsGarage.

This is such a great little tool for improving smartphone video. Smaller/easier than a gimbal but provides enough additional stability and extra mounting points for the light/mic/etc. that it's a great value.

I have a Samsung S23 Ultra. It's a very large phone. I can't mount it without issue. There are so many great things Aboit this kit but I won't get into those. Everything, in my opinion, is perfect except for one... ... The usb c dongle to connect the microphone. It's pretty much garbage. This while kit is amazing but I recommend you do some research on a decent USBc mic dongle to get the most of the microphone provided.
