Great grab and go case for the FujiFilm X Half! It is just the right size for what is otherwise a pocket camera, and I really like the added internal pocket for a credit card or ID (okay, and a nit - would have been a bit nicer if it had space for basically ID and two or three credit cards, but that's me). The overall design is spot on for SmallRig, and delivers on that retro vibe that works great with the X Half. Quality is in everything you feel, and I like how easy it is to pull the camera out and start using even with the shoe on. I attached the straps to the case, would not recommend attaching directly to the camera, but the right gear included if you want to do that. For a fun camera, and a 'grab and go" feel, I recommend this case.

This is a decent case for the money, but a few things keep it from getting 5 stars for me. For one, the case is advertised as leather, but clearly it is not. It's a synthetic suede and cow or calf leather. I own another half case from SmallRig for my X100VI, and that is clearly leather, this one is not. My likes: -The camera is held secure given the type of case design that it is, meaning the case does not snap or zip shut. The camera, when in the half case, feels secure with the walls of the main case. -The half case fits the body of the X-Half (no pun intended) very well and provides a little needed grip on an otherwise very small camera. -The pouch on the inside of the case can come in hand for a cleaning wipe, and perhaps an SD card, but I would not feel comfortable with an SD card there. What could be better: -The included strap, which I have affixed on the case, needs to be longer. I like to use this type of case slung cross-body. This strap is not long enough for that. -The magnets could stand to be just a bit stronger. Magnets are no substitute for snaps or zippers, so even more important then to have very strong magnets. These magnets are not weak, but not as strong as I think they should be to work through the thick material -The case is billed as leather, but is not. All being said, I give this case the benefit of the doubt with 4 stars, but given the materials used and shortcoming, it perhaps deserves a 3.5 star rating if possible given my experience with SmallRig's other excellent offerings.

The FujiFilm X half is a small camera but that doesn't mean it shouldn't have some great accessories. This X half case might seem a bit bulky at first but it hides some great features. First of all, it comes with a half-case that has an aluminum base that protects the bottom of the camera. It has an opening for the battery and SD card compartment which is great. It does cover the speaker holes on the bottom, so be aware of that it you use your camera back to show video. The sound might be a bit muffled. The mics are on top of the camera, so that's not affected. Then the whole thing slips into vertical every-read type case that is quite sturdy with some nice features. There is a magnetic closure to the case flap, so that the camera is never exposed and flapping around. Then there is a slim pocket inside to store a lens cloth but I found it also holds the SmallRig VND filter as well. And that is the best thing about how this case is designed. It is designed to hold the camera with all the SmallRig accessories attached: like the thumb grip, bottom grip with ARCA plate and even with the filters attached (UV and VND). Once you own this case you will be pleased and pleasantly surprised by all the little touches that were designed into it. For me, I am using the separate grip with thumb grip and UV filter and VND all designed by SmallRig. It really adds a lot to the pleasure of owning this camera.
