This was an absolute lifesaver earlier this month when traveling to a week long event as a professional photographer. For important events that customers prepay in advance, I always rent the exact duplicate of my own set up (camera, lenses, memory cards, etc), just to be safe. Should I unfortunately drop a lens, should my camera malfunction, should a memory card break in the middle of an important shoot, I always have a spare. This time the equipment rental company forgot to include a charger for the camera! What a disaster! Why, I hear you ask, don't you have a charger? Yes, yes I do, but hear me out. I shoot every day from 7 to 11 AM and then again from 4 to 7 PM. In between the two slots I need to get into my hotel room, charge my batteries, unload my cards and get ready for the PM shoot. Having only one charger for all my batteries means I cannot possibly manage to juice up everything in only 5 hours, and given that early May was unusually cold in Indianapolis, my LP-E6NH would discharge within two hours in the mornings! Just where and how do you get an extra specialty charger, on the road, away from home? I was risking my entire income for the week if I couldn't solve the issue. Enter this nifty SmallRig number. It literally saved my life that week. It can take three batteries and juice them up in the same time it takes a native Canon charger fill up just one. I had this baby going non stop every day and overnight, without any problems. It doesn't overheat, it works, and it's fast. The fact it comes with its own three batteries was a bonus, because as I mentioned it was cold and I drove up to IN unprepared (it's usually a lot warmer there first half of May), so having the safety of extra batteries in my pocket was amazing and reduced my anxiety to about zero. The only issue I had was that the kit does NOT include a brick. Thankfully, I had the brick for my Samsung Galaxy super fast charger and it fit perfectly. However, it left my phone without a charger, but that's a whole other story. To summarize, if you shoot for a living, this item is a must have. I've been doing this gig in IN every year for many years, I've been renting from this rental company for many years, and absolutely didn't anticipate to have issues. Yet, a simple minor screw up on the part of the rental company, plus an unusually cold weather, and I was this close to losing the entire gig. This SmallRig kit saved me a week of income and years of hard earned reputation, and for that it will always have a place in my photo bag. Highly recommended!

This is one of those products that immediately makes you wonder why it isn't the standard from every manufacturer. The charger is incredibly compact, taking up about the same space as a single Canon charger while charging three batteries at once. For anyone who travels, shoots events, or just wants a cleaner gear setup, that's a huge win. The included batteries are a nice bonus as well. I primarily use OEM batteries for my main shooting and keep these as backups, but having three additional batteries ready to go is hard to complain about. Build quality is excellent, which is what I've come to expect from SmallRig. The charger feels well designed, the display is easy to read, and it works perfectly on my fast charging hub. For the price, the value here is outstanding. You're getting a compact triple charger and backup batteries in a package that saves both space and time. This was an easy five-star product for me and something I'll be keeping in my camera bag full time.

A great inexpensive upgrade for a Canon DSLR with OEM level performance. I like that the Smallrig charger has vertical slots to fit unto 3 batteries at a time. This is a much more clever design than the standard Canon 1 battery charger which mounts the battery sideways and can only charge 1 battery in the size/ form factor that this charger can charge 3 at a go. Yes it does require a USB-C or MiniUSB to AC adapter but these days a USB charge port is becoming more and more common and on a trip I would tack this along with an AC to USBC brick and could charger everything I need. Much more convenient and practical for travel than the standard Canon charger. Also it can charger OEM Canon batteries as well. The only thing I don't like about the charger is that it is more difficult to identify when the battery is fully charged than the OEM charger which uses blinking green lights. This uses a battery level indicator that shows fully charged at just 90%. I would have preferred a similar green light indicator. I tested 2 of the Smallrig batteries against a LLANO and a Canon OEM that has seen a couple years of use. All were tested at 100% charge in a Canon 5DS shooting video for 20 minutes straight. As you can see on the photo these performed very well. I would recommend the SmallRig kit for the charge it held and the great minimal form factor. Great purchase.

As much as I love my Canon products, I hate the cost of their batteries. These Smallrig batteries work just as well as the original, and they have the ability to charge multiple batteries at once.

I received this SmallRig LP-E6NH battery kit at no charge through Amazon Vine in exchange for my honest review. I’ve been using this 3-battery SmallRig kit with my Canon EOS R6 Mark II and it has worked very well so far. The camera recognizes the batteries properly, displays the battery percentage correctly, and I haven’t received any annoying warning messages about “non-genuine” batteries. They also support the camera’s high-speed shooting modes, which was important to me. The included charger is convenient and makes it easy to keep multiple batteries ready to go using USB-C charging. Build quality on the batteries as well as the charger feels solid and well made. Battery life doesn’t seem quite as long as Canon OEM batteries in real-world use, but for the price and overall performance, I still think this is a great value and an excellent backup battery set for the EOS R6 Mark II. Personally, I’m a big fan of SmallRig and have a whole host of their products in my gearboxes. Not only do I recommend this product without hesitation, I also highly recommend them as a brand.

I have a canon EOS R6 and and EOS R. I use these batteries mostly with the R6 but they work in the R too. They’re compatible with both cameras. I still have the same functionality with these batteries as with the OEM batteries. These are a greater value than many other options especially over the OEM batteries. The battery life is about the same as the original batteries. I don’t worry with them. I treat them the same as my other batteries. It’s always good to have extra batteries whether shooting photos or videos. These are a good replacement.

Excellent camera battery kit for my Canon 90D. Batteries have so far lasted nearly as long as my original Canon battery. The cost is a bit pricey, but well worth the investment for 3 batteries that can be charged simultaneously.
