I read the reviews from other customers, but decided to purchase anyway as a Christmas present to myself. The quality of this pillowcase is inferior. After just 2 washes (I used a mesh washing bag, turned the pillowcase inside out, used Woolite and line-dried), the silk material became very dull and hard. At the same time that I purchased this pillowcase, I also purchased a Tafts pillowcase for my daughter for Christmas. Hers is perfect after washing twice. I just ordered the Tafts pillowcase for myself. It’s half the price. Save yourself the hassle and some money and buy the Tafts pillowcase!

I like this pillowcase and it leaves my hair in much better shape than a cotton pillowcase. Only reason for downgrading to 4 stars is because I don't think it's great value for your money. Happy by my purchase but might consider a satin option as a better middle ground in terms of price and benefits.
