  • Big set of corks
Great quality and quantity corks. Great for crafts or diy wine makers, kitchen, or bathroom projects.

  • All the Benefits of Natural Cork at an Agglomerated Cork Price
These are nicely made wine bottle corks! Slimcork describes their wine corks as natural corks. The type of corks they are is better known as colmated corks. Colmated corks are natural corks that didn’t quite make the grade due to numerous nooks and hollows in their exteriors. These defects are correctively filled with cork bits and resin, similar to those used to create inferior agglomerated corks. This corrective action results in value-priced wine corks with the aging abilities of natural cork. As a winemaker, I historically bought natural corks for wines that required several years of aging to develop their complexity. Subsequently, I found my way to colmated corks similar to those Slimcork produces. When opening several bottles of Cabernet after 4 years of aging, I was happy to see that the colmated corks had fully sealed the bottles and only allowed a minimum amount of wine capillary action of no more than ¼” along its 1¾” length. Slimcork’s colmated corks look great, almost artful. The sides are perfectly smooth and the product has no unfilled cracks or defects. With no branding or grape-stamped images on their sides, I can extract these corks with pride as they give my wines an expensive look. I usually buy my corks in bags of 100 based on my wine production. Another winemaking hobbyist I know, who has gone commercial, buys his corks in quantities of 1000. I hope that Slimcork starts giving their Amazon customers those quantity choices. ... show more

  • Great for winemaking!
I selected these for homemade winemaking, but they would also be great for crafting. The quality is nice, as expected. You do need a corker to insert into wine bottles, and be sure to sanitize first along with all of the other equipment! They are sized to fit standard wine bottles. Packaging was nothing special, just tossed into a plastic bag. ... show more

  • These Are Perfect!
These are great corks. I'm a winemaker, so I always want the best to age my wines. I sometimes work with synthetic, but natural is always the way to go. A little more difficult to get into the bottles, but just requires a little more force with your corker. Make sure you sanitize first before using, even though they say soaking isn't required. Great product! ... show more

  • Good quality corks
I was trying to save the corks from wine bottles for an arts and crafts project I had in mind, but since I'm not a big drinker that was proving to take much longer than expected, which is why I was excited to find this instead. Good quality, works for my project, no regrets getting it.

  • Quality Wine Corks for 750 ml Bottles
These are pricier than some others but they really are premium quality. Tight grain, standard size, direct from Portugal. No chamfered edges, you'll want a corker to insert these.

  • Full disclosure -
I'm not a winemaker. I am part of a group that makes reindeer out of corks for Christmas, and this year we've been really fancy-ing these little guys up. And then I started thinking about the other animals we could make at different times of the year, and then...I got my own set of corks to produce the prototype. The corks feel pretty solid, I hope the glue sticks easily and well, and the finished product stands up as they are supposed to do. ... show more
