  • Everyday use
Size: Large Color: Green
I have been traveling the country and live from my truck meaning I use a sleeping pad every single night. The first one of these that I had stayed fully inflated everyday for 8 months straight of continuous use. This was after I already had it for maybe 2 years of spontaneous usage. Once it did spring a small hole and start to slowly deflate I decided to purchase a higher quality name brand sleeping pad for over double the price. All that did was make me realize how vastly superior this one was especially considering how cheap it is in comparison. After the name brand sleeping pad made me have to see a chiropractor the first thing I did was order another one of these and honestly I should have just kept this one all along. It might not have all the fancy designs the name brands have when they're inflated but this one is durable, comfortable and well worth your money. ... show more

  • Stay away, shady company!! There are lots of better pad options out there.
Size: Large Color: Green
Update 10/7/21 After updating my review on 8/13/21 I started getting daily emails from shady-looking, freshly generated gmail accounts (with names like Rmtmx Yenei) where they're asking me to take my review down and offering to pay me cash. I had previously given them two stars since their customer service was good, but I really don't like to do business with companies like this. Edit/update 8/13/21 After a year of use, I really liked this pad and upgraded my son from a closed-cell therm-a-rest up to this pad. In the last ten months, the two of us have had three failures. Two were leaks on the pad fabric, but in places where a patch wouldn't stay, the third failure was on the valve. It was really disappointing. When it worked, it worked well. Even for me, a heavy side-sleeper. Only after it started leaking and I found myself having to re-inflate the pad multiple times per night did I realize a design flaw.... The inflate/deflate valve is at the worst possible place. At the foot end of the pad, on the bottom. So in the middle of the night, I'd have to get off the pad, crawl to the bottom, flip, inflate. When it was holding air, valve placement was a non-issue. To Sleepingo's credit, after the initial failure, they were quick to send me a replacement. But when that replacement and my son's both failed too, they insisted on issuing a full-refund. They made me whole, so no hard feelings. I loved this pad for it's weight and size but since I want reliable gear and good sleep, it's definitely best that I find something better. I'm giving them two stars instead of one because the customer support is great. ***Original post 4/2/19*** I'm an Eagle Scout that took a break from camping for a few decades and am just now getting back into it with my son. I recently upgraded to a Big Agnes long/wide encampment sleeping bag. Since I'm a few years older and a few dozen pounds heavier, figured this would be a great time to upgrade from a foam ridgerest to a nice inflatable sleeping pad. My requirements: Under $100 I'm a side-sleeper (220 lbs) and don't want to bottom out Small/light enough to take backpacking Durable enough that I won't be left stranded After looking at amazon reviews, I narrowed it down to the Sleepingo and the Klymit Static V insulated. Not being able to see/test either, I ordered both pads with the planned to return whichever I didn't like. The Sleepingo arrived first and my first thought was....damn, this thing is paper thin, it's never going to hold up. Then I realized that it had to be this thin in order for it to be so small and light. Although thin, the fabric does seem to be very tough. I found the inflate hole, it's a simple but effective design. It's a rubber flap that is held in place by the pressure of the air inside, with a plug that covers the hole. I counted the number of breathes, I'm a fairly large dude, but it took exactly eight before I couldn't add anymore air. The Klymit Static V had a more complicated fill valve and it took 12 full breathes. The Sleepingo had the following disadvantages: Not as good R-value (insulation) Lacks name brand recognition, lifetime warranty doesn't matter if the company is gone Inflated length not as advertised The Sleepingo had the following advantages: Lighter - 398g vs 690 Longer - 72.5" vs 71.75 Quicker to inflate Smaller when packed Way faster to pack up. The many chambers of the Klymit made it harder to push the air out when rolling up I'm really impressed with the Sleepingo and plan to keep it. If anything changes (good or bad), I'll update this post. ... show more

  • Best Sleeping Pad out there!
Size: Large Color: Green
My old Thermorest had done its job, and was living out its last leaky days at Cub Scout camp outs. So needing a new camping sleep pad I started my search with Thermorest. After 20 years, not much had changed. Still well made, but still bulky, heavy, and pricey. Camping tech has progressed so much that I figured there must be something lighter. And there are. Lots of them. Trouble is, for a decent rated pad from a brand know for quality camp gear, I was looking at $100+. I'm not the avid camper I once was so I can't justify the cost. If the pad wasn't super expensive, it had high failure rates (i.e. lots of crappy reviews) Enter Sleepingo. $40 and 4.7 stars with over 2,000 reviews. Negative reviews seemed like mostly user errors, so I figured it was worth a shot. Best decision ever! First trip out was a Boyscout campout that was a serious mud fest. It made old pictures of Woodstock seem like a dry clean field. Mud however, does not equal soft comfortable ground to sleep on. It means your tent floor is going to mold itself around any rock, stick, twig, or clump of grass you were on top of, just so it can poke you in the back all night. Think grandma's old lumpy guest bed, with sticks and rocks added in and your getting there (hmmm....Sleepingo will be packed for the next visit now that I think about it). The other challenge with that much mud is slogging all the camp gear for 30 people a 1/4 mile to your "camp site". Everything feels 10 times heavier. I was extremely glad to not have been carrying my heavy old sleep pad. Set up was easy. Lung power gets the job done in about a minute, but the valve will take a standard pump hose if you brought one. Given how thin and light the pad was, I had my concerns that I'd be hitting the ground, even with it full of air. NOPE! the design kept all 200+ lbs of me off the ground. Did a quick shoulder down side sleeper test and even then I wasn't hitting ground. NICE! Next concern was that I'd end up on a thin sheet of plastic by morning. NOPE! No leak loss...NONE. First time I've EVER that I've had a pad not leak even a little bit. At the end of the mud ball express camp-out (we left early due to dangerous storms inbound) I did not take the time to roll the Sleepingo back up nicely. It got scrunched up mud and all and tossed into a bugout trashbag with the rest of my muddy gear. When I did get to clean it, a day later, I had been so impressed with the Sleepingo's durability, that I thought I'd put it through one more test. I don't think 1800 psi from a pressure washer is recommended by the manufacturer, but I was feeling bold and didn't think a regular hose would cut through the dried on mud. The Sleepingo took it like a champ. No holes (thankfully), no fraying, no signs at all that the Sleepingo took what my deck could barely handle! Mud gone, and plenty of sunshine to dry it out, the Sleepingo was dry in 30 minutes. I Inflated it and left it that way for 3 days to make sure I hadn't damaged it. Once again, no air leaks. None at all! Last, but not least, customer service. Not that I needed to call or anything, but I got a letter from the company owner (sorry I can't remember your name at the moment) a couple of weeks after my purchase thanking me and asking politely for a review. The letter was hand addressed. Sleepingo a smaller company still, but that letter made a positive impression. TL;DR - Best, toughest, and most bang for the buck sleeping pad out there! Great people at Sleepingo! Update: 3 years and many campouts later and the Sleepingo is still a champ! Absolutely no leaks. Have bought 3 more since then and all have stayed airtight and comfy too. ... show more
