Great Sleeping Pad for Camping

This is a comfortable sleeping pad on which to sleep when camping and probably anytime. It is quick and easy to inflate and remains inflated even when there is variation in temperature. I was very impressed with the thickness of this pad. It kept me from lying on the ground or so close to it that I might as well have been on the ground. And at my age (53) this is important. :) It is very portable being able to put it back in its carrying bag after being deflated and seems to be very durable. All in all, this is well worth the $30 we spent and I highly recommend it to anyone. ... show more

Doesn't deflate, a little noisy, good quality, a little bulky

I've been using this pad with my toddler for over a week at home because we're moving, and the movers took all of our major furniture and stuff already. It's been durable and comfortable so far. It's easy to set up. It takes about 200 foot pumps to inflate, or you can use an air pump. There's about 100 lbs difference between me and my toddler, and there's no sagging towards the heavier person. I added a little more air after the first night (could be breaking it in, getting it stretched out, etc.), and I haven't needed to add air since then despite my 26-lb toddler lightly bouncing on it every once in a while. I like how it's easy to add a little air with just a few foot pumps. The built in pillow should be good for back sleepers. With a pillow, it's comfy for me to sleep on my side. This is also one of the few sleeping pads to list the thickness of the fabric -- 50D Polyester, which is a decent thickness for durability. I added a cotton full size fitted sheet on top, and it fits perfectly. There are a few cons to mention. It is a little noisy. When you shift positions, it makes crinkly, creaking sounds. If you or your partner move a lot in your sleep, this could be annoying. Also, the foot pump makes it a bit bulky. I almost returned this to find one that can be inflated with an air sack, but they were a bit pricier with inconsistent reviews. I do like how easy it is to add a little air to get that perfect inflation. However, I wish there was a way to also let out just a little air if it's over inflated. I debated giving this 4 or 5 stars. It's been working out well for my situation, so I'd say 4.5 stars, rounded up to 5. There is some room for improvement, but for the price and function, I'm happy with it. ... show more

I'm very impressed with this camping sleeping pad! Tthe 6-inch thickness makes it incredibly comfortable and provides great cushioning from the ground, making camping much more enjoyable. The built-in pillow is a nice bonus and adds extra comfort. It inflates easily, feels durable, and packs away nicely. Easy to inflate just using your foot. Size is good for 2 people. Packs up small and is lightweight. Comfortable enough for a few nights, it is a thin mattress so you are very close to the ground. Good quality!

Yes, you can put the genie back in the bottle! Test run on the inflatable camp mattress was a success! The directions were clear. Product inflated with minimal effort using the contained foot pump. Then, miraculously, it deflated completely, rolled neatly and compactly, AND fit back into its sack! This will make sleeping on the ground almost tolerable! ... show more

Decent air mattress; foot pump is cool

We ordered this one and the foam-filled one of the same brand and went with the foam-filled one since we didn't need something really compact. This one was pretty crinkly and not quiet. We didn't test it out for a full night, but it seemed like a good quality air mattress. The internal foot pump, compared to an external one, was a nice touch. Takes under 5 mins to fill and you don't have to worry about packing a pump or having the hose pop off in the middle of everything. Easy to adjust if you want to let a little air out since it has valves for both in and out. Quality product enough to feel too firm, actually. The material had sort of a "slinky" texture which made it easy to unroll and roll-- I've had ones that almost stick to themselves. We originally bought this sleeping pad for camping, but it’s turned into one of our favorite things to use at home too!
