Ordered this bag to go along with some other gifts for my husband for Christmas. Really wanted to love it but it does have some pluses and minuses. For the price- I can't complain but I won't be able to give it to my hubby. The main issue was that it was too snug for him (I had him try it early so I could see if it needed returned or not) and he said he felt claustrophobic in it. BUT- he is a BIG dude and I am certain that is why he didn't fit. lol. He probably weighs around 230 and that is mostly belly. So, if you were muscular, it would be fine. That was the only drawback & instead of exchanging it, I have decided to keep it and give it to my oldest son. I like the bag so much otherwise and for the price, it is pointless to return it. I'll just order another bag. Probably the double. The sleeping bag is plenty long, has a "hunter" bag style at the bottom (meaning it is square.) which is nice because you can move around and stretch your legs out. It is definitely a warm bag!! But not too hot and very lightweight. It seems to be very durable and is exceptionally soft inside. It has water proof material on the outside, a cocoon top for your head and easily fits right back into the compression bag. If you are not used to bags like these, I would highly suggest trying this one because of the price and quality. It is much easier with these compression bags than rolling up an old school type of bag. They are too bulky and are a pain to have to manage, when you are camping but ESPECIALLY if you are hiking. The zipper on this bag is sturdy but be careful not to zip up the inner fabric. Just means actually watching when you zip. Not an issue. ... show more

UPDATE: Since November of 2017, I have used this sleeping bag in different types of weather from freezing temperatures to warm weather and it worked fairly well for me. It is now August of 2018. I did get a little cold in it when it was extremely cold outside, so I layered up and put a fleece blanket inside it to help with that and that seemed to do the trick. In the warm weather, I did sleep on top of it part of the time when I felt too warm to sleep inside it. I have washed this sleeping bag multiple times and it (and it's respective bag) are still in excellent condition. I would definitely recommend this for the average camper. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I was attracted to this bag by the reviews and the fact that it is rated suitable for all four seasons. I used it this past weekend when the temperature dropped to 30 degrees Fahrenheit at night. It kept me warm and comfortable without being bulky. It seems to be pretty long compared to some sleeping bags I have used in the past (even without taking into account the additional space that covers your head). I could see this being a plus for taller individuals. I am of a medium build (my t-shirts are size adult men's large) but I was able to also fit a small blanket in the sleeping bag with me. I would say the sleeping bag is fairly roomy. I also liked the fact that the bag that comes with it is not ridiculously small. I did not have to struggle to fit the sleeping bag back in its respective bag. I am very satisfied with this purchase and would definitely purchase another. ... show more

Overall I like this bag. A lot. Been using it a few years now, so a couple pros and cons: Pros: light to carry, and warm. I’ve slept in it comfortably down to about 40F, with sleeping pad and fully clothed but no thermals. Packs down fairly small when you roll it right and then compress with the bag. No durability issues for me, and when the Velcro tab is used, the zipper stays up fine. Cons: Definitely wouldn’t use anywhere near 20 or 30F, I was cold at about 35. Not for a large man: I’m 6’ and was about 235# when I started using this. I managed to get it zipped up around me (barely) but it was uncomfortable. I’m at 180 now, and it’s perfectly sized even when I’m fully mummied-up. On that note - the cords to tighten the opening are very long, I’d be careful with kids. The cords also have no cinch, so the hood will loosen on its own after you pull it tight around you. Overall - I think this bag is great for car camping, especially at this price. I just bought a more expensive bag for backpacking so I could get something lighter that packs down smaller. ... show more

We camped 3 times with these sleeping bags. They were used by 2 of our 3 kids (ages 8 and 9). Kids slept comfortably all night. The most challenging of our trips was a 2 night in freezing temps. We were worried the kids would not be warm enough, but this sleeping sack did it’s job very well. Nobody complained about being cold. Nobody woke up in the middle of the night complaining of discomfort. It’s a winner. I have not washed it in the washing machine (just spot clean). Would recommend and would buy it again. ... show more
