I don't prefer this material in warm weather, but I found it to be more comfortable than expected. I had to use this in warm, humid, rainy weather mostly to keep mosquitos from getting my back through my hammock. This is the primary sleeping bag I use now. I used to use a lighter one, but this one was a great deal and it does the job well, and comfortably. I don't know if you can get a lighter bag with a similar rating, but I will say the compression bag doesn't really compress it well- outside a pack it takes up about 9"x14" I'm considering buying more of this bag for my kids. ... show more

Soon as my 9 year old daughter pulled the soulout sleeping bag of the storage bag she noticed the Velcro strap had fallen off upon inspection I noticed multiple place the thread is not sewed very well . The zipper is not sewn on all the way to the top threads are already coming loose. Bag had two sets of zipper the bottom zipper doesn’t line up correctly the long zipper is not sewn properly has about two inches of material that needs to be sewn to prevent the bag from coming loose The sleeping bag is warm can’t say it’s a four season bag it’s not good in temps below 40 degrees . Stuffing is cotton some areas have more sewn in then the other places we camped out last night low of 42 she had to have a 2nd bag laid over her to stay warm It’s not a bad bag for the money but looks like Santa is bringing a sewing kit ... show more

My 12 year old son gets cold at night easily. He loves the hot weather of summer. He liked this sleeping back for a back-packing trip that his youth group did, and was keen to use it again when our family went camping. It looks very thin and is kinda fluffy, but somehow kept him warm at night. There is little or no cushion to it below your body, so don't expect any in that regard.
