  • Perfect little hammer
As a marine diesel mechanic, we have to carry a lot of stuff in heavy tool bags. You almost always need a hammer but don’t want to carry around a big one all the time but need more power than a small ball peen hammer. It’s perfect to keep in your tool bag.

  • Cute and small
This thing is adorable, but mighty. It gets the job done and done well. I like the compact feel and how easy it is to handle. I used it to replace some nails into the hard wood of my old deck and I used it to help with the demo of my bathroom when we remodeled it. I am very happy with this and would recommend it to others. ... show more

  • Small but well made
This review is for Sledge Hammer, Mini Sledge Hammer with Steel Hammer Head and Wood Short Handle, 1LB Crack Hammer for Striking & Home Even with pictures in the listing, I was not prepared for how small this hammer really is. It should still work well for hammering my tent stakes into the ground. Last year, I brought a rubber mallet camping with me, and my friends had destroyed it within minutes while setting up their tents. This steel headed sledge should work better, and hold up well. I put this hammer with my camping equipment, and we will see exactly how well it holds up and does its job this spring/summer when I head out camping. It is well made, so I expect it to perform well. I will update my review if needed when I actually use it what I got it for. ... show more

  • Funny looking, but serious tool
When I got this hammer, I almost laughed at how short and stumpy it looks, but upon my first use pinning down weed may in the flower bed, I see why it is designed this way. Its design makes it easier to hit what you're trying to hit and it's just enough weight for plastic stakes and thinner metal ones. It's also light enough to carry in my tool tray. ... show more

  • Pocket sledge hits hard
I have a 10 lb sledge and a 4 lb sledge, but I had never before seen a 1 lb sledge like this Cor cordium hammer. This is not a toy, but a seriously made tool. This is actually a perfect size for many landscaping and gardening tasks. A 10lb sledge is overkill, unless you are doing demolition or driving rebar pins/fence posts. A 4 lb midweight sledge is a bit much weight to carry around your yard, but the 1 lb sledge is just enough to hammer in stakes, or tap down galvanized spikes. You could literally carry this in a pocket, tool tray or bucket, for routine maintenance. The short handle actually makes it easier to control the tool. I'm not the most coordinated hammer swinger, so unless I am trying to break stuff, less weight is more efficient. ... show more

  • Well made, handy, and perfect for small jobs
Even after reading the product description, I wasn't ready for how compact this little hammer actually is. I've included a couple photos for scale. My hands are a little larger than average, but this tool still sits easily in one hand. If the smaller size isn't a problem, you'll find much to like about this sledge hammer: • Aside from the logo being printed on the head off-center and at an angle, the whole thing looks and feels well built. • The head seems to be glued on where the handle is inserted; better than the old fashioned types that were just being held in via pressure/force. • The smaller size, for my purposes, is a bonus. I keep this in my toolbox where a full-sized hammer would take up too much space. •The handle is short, but big enough around to give you a secure, balanced grip when pounding. I'm glad I went with the sledge version over the ballpeen, especially at this size. It's a keeper! ... show more

  • Short Handle Hammer With A Big Head
This hammer has the shortest wood handle I have ever seen. It is equipped with a 16-ounce steel head. The handle is ergonomically designed and is very warm and comfortable to grip. I have been using push pins to hang all kinds of things on the wall, such as maps, wall clocks, calendars and so on. Sometimes it does hurt my thumb when I am trying to push the pins all the way into the wall. Now I have found that this little hammer is super helpful to get this job done. I just grip the handle of this hammer and tap the push pins into the wall effortlessly. Its short handle also makes it easier for me to maneuver this hammer. This mini hammer is capable of handling many other household tasks. I am keeping this hammer in my toolbox for routine and unexpected maintenance needs. ... show more

  • Handle...
Handle dislodged after moderate soft use... it's a well made mini sledge hammer but the handle is not secure enough. I will have to buy it a replacement handle.....
