  • VERY UNEXPECTEDLY GOOD
This saxophone was SOOOOO unexpectedly good! I was just buying a saxophone that I could afford just to practice on the side. I was expecting the consequences of getting an Amazon sax, knowing how cheaply they’re made. But this was an exception!!!! My buddy had gotten a Selmer sax (one of the best brands of saxes) and his had some problems like two months after getting his!!! But this sax has not had a single problem in the year that I’ve had it! ... show more

  • Great band instrument for a beginner.
This was a gift for my grandson to use in band & he loves it. It was a great price especially for a beginner’s instrument and far less expensive than monthly rental fees.

  • An amazing saxophone
This product is amazing especially for its price. It functions very well and I’m surprised it doesn’t cost $2000 because it’s able to get repaired. No seriously most cheap instruments get turned away but this one will work out for you. Get this one right now if you want a saxophone

  • Inconsistent and more likely to hurt a learner.
In short, I feel this instrument is highly inconsistent in problems, as an experienced musician but new to saxophone, it sometimes felt difficult to try and find out what was a problem with my playing, and what was the instrument, and I feel these kinds of issues can wreak havoc to a completely new players confidence, skill and learning. I gave this brand 2 tries at delivering a solid saxophone after watching a youtuber rave about this product for the price. Both of them not only performed horribly, but they had completely different issues, showing that the range of problems for this saxophone is wide. The first one had some issue that must've been causing issues with anything below a lower octave D. The instrument would let out a horrible gurgle that actually can be quite common with a tired embouchure even on professional instruments, but in this case, it was constant, and no amount of mouth compensation would stop it. Other than this major issue, the register key wasn't opening the top valve all the way, so I tried to adjust the screw for it, but it was solid, I ended up actually breaking the screw with the included flathead, but it seemed to turn just enough to at least fix that problem before breaking. Keys also weren't very solid and had a bit of wiggle. I returned it and ordered a second, and was quite surprised to see absolutely no struggle with the lower notes, in fact, it was playing them better than other instruments I've tried in the past, including Yamaha, Selmer and P. Mauriat. The keys showed no sign of wiggle, and the register key opened fine, I thought I had hit the lottery and got the perfect instrument, it seemed to have played perfectly, that is until I get closer to the altissimo range. A high register C is where the instrument starts to really look like it's going sharp, but can be compensated for with the embouchure, D is incredibly difficult but possible, but altissimo E registers as a perfectly in tune F, and F is a few points shy of a Gb. It seems like it's getting more in tune as you get higher until you hit G#, which registers as a perfectly in tune C. ... show more
