I have been using the name-brand HotLogic personal ovens for a few years now, and LOVE those little gadgets! I use them at home nearly every day. We have a camp property, and I was bringing my HotLogics back and forth to camp to use there regularly, too. But I hate having to bring stuff back and forth, and wanted to get a set of HotLogics to leave there. The problem was I haven't seen HotLogics on a very good sale in quite some time. So I decided to take a chance on an off brand. I reviewed all of the off-brand options I could find, and decided to give the Skywins a try because of: 1) Cost. 2) Good Reviews. 3) Pan Included. I've been cooking with my Skywins at camp a couple visits now, and I have to say they are GREAT! They are pretty similar to my HotLogics, but with two noticeable differences. One is Skywins don't contain the food smells like HotLogics. You definitely smell what is cooking with these. That is no problem for me, as I use mine at our own homes. But if you are using these in an office or shared space, it may be worth knowing. The second difference is the case. The Skywin case isn't as rigid as the HotLogic, it's floppier. But I actually like that because I can wrap things in foil and stick them in next to or on top of the pan, like frozen burritos or make quesadillas to lay on top. The case may be less firm, but it still holds in all the heat to ensure cooking. All of the food I've made in my Skywins cooks perfectly so far, and the metal pans that come with them are great for camp! They clean up very easy, too. I fill them right up, and often cover with foil instead of the lid to fit more, which has worked great. If you don't have a portable oven yet and are considering one, I would say the Skywin is just as good as the HotLogic, just a bit different in the couple ways I mentioned. But it functions exactly the same way, and makes delicious food so very easily! :-D

I use it for work. For months it has tossed and kicked with 100s of lbs of tools being stacked on top ( i store it in the crew gang box) really not sure how it still in one piece. The container works very well. Easier to clean than tupper ware. Provides steaming hot lunch almost every time. Thats leads me to the only gripe i have. The on/off rocker switch. It rocks a litte too easy. more than a few times after turning it on when i set it down it will twist over and the weight of the switch itself will turn it off. This left me with cold lunch a few times till i figured out what was going on. Now i double check for the red "on" indicator before walking away. Very happy with this buy.

I enjoy my Skywin portable oven so much that I just ordered a second one. One is to use for work, the second is to use at home. It heats the food perfectly and evenly! I also own a Hot Logic brand, but here is why I prefer using the Skywin: The best feature of the Skywin is that it has an off/on switch with a red light, indicating when the unit is on and heating. It was slightlyt less expensive than the Hot Logic brand, which does not have an on/off switch or light. With the Skywin, you can have it plugged in while not heating. (With the other brand, which I also own, the oven is heating anytime it's plugged in.) Do keep in mind that these ovens take some time to warm the food, so you will want to turn it on about 45-60 minutes before you are ready to eat. They do warm the food more evenly than a microwave, and your food will not dry out or get rubbery, like it can in a microwave.) I'll update my review if my opinion changes; but this one seems to be a great buy ,and I would recommend it!

I love the way it heats without drying up your food. Works very well, I plug in midmorning and my lunch is piping hot whenever I am ready to eat. The zipper seems cheap I'm afraid it will break but I'm careful and so far so good.

Not a bad food warmer. Started a new job and instead of buying a microwave for my cube I opted to buy this. It’s convenient, easy to clean, and NO noise lol. Plus no weird office food smells from warming in the microwave. It warms up my food very well and the longer you keep in the warmer, the hotter your food gets. Please be careful, the container it comes with gets really hot if you leave it in there for over an hour like I do. I suggest getting a mat or dish cloth to lay it on. It does not come with a car plug and Yes it’s ok to leave the plastic top of the metal container on while warming your meal and YES you can zip your meal inside the bag to warm it up.

Product is great! I dehydrated several meals before my trip ( YouTube has many videos on doing this). One tip for using dehydrated food - rehydrate before putting in cooker since it can take 2-3X as long to cook and rehydrate your meal. I did not want cooker on when I was not in the room so I rehydrated first. I purchased nested plastic bowls from the dollar store and a few hours (or several or even overnight, if you have a refrigerator ). I placed dehydrated meals in the bowl and added water . About an hour before my meal I put my rehydrated meal in the container. Since they were refrigerated it took about 90 mins to get piping hot. A few of the meals I cooked: chili, cauliflower chick pea stew, fish chowder, chicken spaghetti. I even made scrambled eggs using store bought (honeyville) powdered eggs, and dehydrated cheese! I heated empty cooker pan for 1/2 hour (spray with oil) to get hot, I then added rehydrated egg mixture( enough for 2 eggs) and covered and put on lid and closed the bag ...in about 15 mins they were set and I “scrambled” and let heat 10 more then breakfast!

Was easy to setup and definitely heats up food. Just wish it came with instructions on how long food should be heated for. I had mine heating up for an hour and the food was definitely hot just the plastic lid caved in and it was hard to take off. Didn't see any other reviews with this issue maybe mine was a one off . But still does when it needs to.
