  • A learning curve is needed
You'll need to do some reading and keep your instructions handy as everything about this charger is not intuitive. However it's a very powerful charger and great once you learn how to use it.

  • It’s has a lot of safety built into it
I love the speed and the way it charges. But because it has a lot of safety built in, some of my packs cannot be charged without cheating it.

  • Works as advertised!
I really like the way V2 is AC/DC plus easy to navigate the menu.

  • Very good charger better than others that I have.
I bought 2 different brands and be far this one is better for about the same price and has a more useful menu then the other one. This one also has a fan to help cool the charger when discharging a battery I would recommend this charger.

  • This is a feature-packed and very useful charger.
This is a very versatile and useful charger, and can be used to charge batteries in the field or at home. It also has a battery meter function that I have found very useful in the field to check the state of my flight batteries as it is much easier to read in sunlight than the little LiPo Battery checkers that everybody seems to have. Another useful feature is the internal resistance meter. If you keep track of the internal resistance of the cells in your battery packs, you can see when they start to go bad when the internal resistance of one or more cells starts to rise significantly. One really cool thing that I was surprised to find out, I was able to use a 5000 MAh 3s battery pack to charge my 3s flight packs in the field, which is much easier than using your car's battery or lugging a heavy lead acid battery with you. ... show more

  • Authentic & dual power, comes w/ AC power cord
So far so good. Arrived well packaged & on time. Authentic item. I purchased this charger to charge & test the used 18650 cells I've harvested from various sources. By watching several different YouTube vids I've been able to inexpensively rig a 15 slot cell holder to speed up the charging process since I have about 1000 to do. I'm building a DIY powerwall for my RV. Actually one of the things that's cool about this specific item is it can also use a DC power source to charge my cells. Which is important to me because it means I can minimize the amount of time I run my generator.by simultaneously using this charger and charging every other storage battery I have (Makita, etc.) while it's running then using those to run this charger. And soon I'll be able to run it from my solar panels. Yea!!!! After all eliminating the use of fossil fuels for electricity is the whole point. I had read the reviews & somewhere saw that the manual sucked. It's clear reading it that the people who wrote it aren't native English speakers but the instructions are fine. If there's anything that's unclear, this is such a popular charger there is going to be a video that answers your questions. Also this one comes with the ac power cord as well as a DC power cord and a couple others. Hope this helps. ... show more

  • Most of the features of chargers costing much more
This charger is famous for being an entry level device with the features you really need. Lipos (lithium polymer) and Lihv's for that matter, require very specific treatment to stay safe and operate at their potential. They need to be charged to specific voltage and used within a day or two. To be stored, lipos need to be charged partially, not completely charged, not completely discharged. This charger is also a discharger and this is one of the primary features that separates it from less expensive chargers. This is important when you have a fully charged battery that you don't plan on using right away. Whether the battery is fully charged OR fully discharged, by selecting the Storage Charge feature, the Imax B6 will leave the battery at the correct charge for extended storage. The IMAX B6 is AC and DC. It plugs into the wall and can be connected to a 12V car battery with the included clips. Many lower prices chargers will do one or the other but not both. There are some features that pricier charges do have that the B6 doesn't have such as: The charger is only 50 watts / 6 amps which means it will take a bit of time charging batteries over 4000 mah. It only charges up to 6S and only one battery at a time. Most of all, it would be nice if it included more connectors. It is missing the XT90, Tamiya, EC3, and the EC5. ... show more
