These are perfect for keeping little ones out of spaces that they should not be. Easy to use and sturdy. You will need to make sure that they fit the doors. Once you place them on the doors are very hard to replace if needed.

We’ve found these locks to be a great option for kitchen and bathroom cabinets as well as furniture. After installing the first couple it was easy and quick to install the others. If you pay attention as you do it they install really well and have zero issues. The three things to make sure you do correctly are place the lock far enough away from any magnetic closures in your drawer or cabinet so that won’t affect it, make sure it’s aligned properly with the height and depth, and prep the surface beforehand (and let it dry completely). We love that our baby can’t pinch his fingers in any doors or drawers’ gaps as he attempts to get them open (and he tries very hard!), and also that the locks can be deactivated when the baby isn’t around. That’s been a really great feature for extended family as well. Grandparents can install them but only activate them when we come to visit, so they don’t have to deal with childproofed kitchen cabinets all the time. The locks removed well without any damage to the cabinets in our rental home when we moved recently, but we didn’t have any issues with them coming off when our baby pulled on the cabinets, even though he’s very strong for his age and size. The company was also extremely quick and helpful when I reached out with an inquiry about replacement adhesive strips for the backs. I was very impressed, especially after some less than helpful interactions with other companies whose products had issues recently. I will continue to recommend these locks from this brand to all my friends and relatives with little ones.

Concept is great and in most instances they installed easily - a couple of things to point out however: 1) - the plastic insert tool used to assist in mounting the door/face-side piece (DSP) does not hold the DSP tightly enough, so often the piece falls out before you can get the DSP set to the door/face... 2) - my drawers are one-piece (i.e., two sides, and a front and back) with a separate face that is mounted to the front of the drawer...because they were custom built, the height of the face and therefore the drawer opening in relation to the front piece of the drawer is inconsistent, with some of the drawers sitting well below the opening - this requires mounting the DSP well above the front piece of the drawer, allowing less than full adhesion of the two-sided tape...a fix would be to glue in a small block to the top of the drawer front piece so the tape is fully adhered - I'll wait and test the current strength of the mounting before I go to that trouble... 3) - my door/face pull hardware is mounted in differing places so that I had to mount the DSP's in sort of random places to avoid the screw heads holding the hardware on to the door/face...since one of the attributes of the product is that it is invisible from the front, the downside for me is that I will not be able to remember exactly where the DSP is located when I go to unlock the door with the magnet! Maybe I can figure out how to unobtrusively mark the location... It is a really great product that needs a bit of care when installing...be interesting to see if the adhesive lasts...the strength of the magnets is terrific - some of my doors/faces are probably around 1.5" total depth and the magnets still work well...the mounting tool supplied by Ella (they say they are the only ones providing it), though it could hold things better, is very useful if used gently...

Great product to keep the little ones out of the cabinets. This will not work on cabinets with 2 swinging doors. You need an inside wall to put the locking mechanism on. Comes with 2 magnets, but if ever in a pinch, can use a strong refrigerator magnet.

I really liked the idea of these magnetic cabinet locks for baby proofing, but the quality wasn’t as good as I expected. Installation was fairly easy, but some of the locks didn’t line up well or didn’t latch consistently. A couple of them also felt a bit flimsy compared to what I was hoping for. The magnetic key worked sometimes, but other times it took a few tries to get the cabinet to open, which became frustrating. I also noticed that the adhesive on a few of the locks started to loosen after a short time. They might work okay for lighter use, but overall I expected better durability and reliability, especially for something meant to keep cabinets securely closed around kids.
