  • Happy 70% Improvement on Handling
Worked great on my 2003 Chevy Silverado 1500 Light Duty. The installation was a little tougher with a lift as I had to brace two cross members. Was missing the U Bolts and hardware. Had to find my own. This did improve my overall driving experience by about %70 because of a lift. This drives like a car now with no fast side to side motions because of ruts or broken pavement. Also much improvement off road with no more steering wheel slamming your hands when going over larger objects. If you have a Ford (snicker) or Dodge that has the notorious straight axle death wobble then this is what you want as, Skyjacker dual stabilizers were also installed on my friends 89 ford F350 ... show more

  • The steering is nice and tight over bumps and potholes
Bought this kit knowing I would need to modify it to fit my 2005 Tahoe Z71, after modifying the outer brackets (cutting, bending, extending, welding) it works amazingly. The steering is nice and tight over bumps and potholes.

  • Worked too good....
Installed on a 2003 z71 Tahoe. Install was simple and straightforward. 1 central bracket that mounts to the center link and 2 brace brackets that mount to the LCA's. Brackets are of fair quality, enough meat to them to stand up to most conventional use. Cylinders are stout with even resistance throughout their travel cycle. Bushings are of expected qaulity, as are all nuts, bolts, and washers. The only isdue I ran across was they worked too good. Did a full, proper rebuild on the entire front suspension and steering linkage at 200k. Everything. Only thing left from original purchase of my rig was the steering wheel and column. Cognito UCA's, PISK, 1+ end links, Kryptonite hubs, tie rod assemblies, RareParts center link, extreme duty idler bracket, extreme duty pitman arm and LCA's, Redhead steering gear, SwayaWay torsion bars, ACD upper, lower intermediate shafts and bearing... you get the picture. Knuckles, brakes, everything. The stabilizer was the last addition. Before install steering was perfect. It drives every bit as good as my '17. Better offroad. Really only wanted it for the added control in the case of a blowout at highway speeds on the mountain roads. After install my steering was too muted. It took just as much physical effort to bring it back to center as it did to initiate a turn. Like very heavy, but dead on accurate, manual steering. Seriously, it drove like my old '64 chevy hay truck in the fields. If you turn it there is no return to center on its own. Absolutely beautiful crawling around offroad but a lot of physical effort on the highway. On a plus side though, all of the brackets can stay in place with the cylinders removed without interfering the steering linkage or throughout the suspension cycle and it only takes about 20 minutes to put them on with minimal tools that would be needed to drop the end links so there's that. ... show more
