  • Great sound, good fit & 2-year warranty
Color: Black
Skullcandy's Sesh True Wireless Bluetooth In-Ear Headphones are a great budget-friendly option for iPhone and Android users alike. (Really giving Earpods a run for their money!) They aren't complicated to charge or pair and are good for both men and women. I found that the sound from these earbuds was remarkably good. Pounding bass and depth of sound was an unexpected surprise considering the price point. I own three other pairs of wireless Bluetooth in-ear headphones and these are better than two of the three pairs, both of which are more expensive than these. The fit can be customized by using the included eargels. I had to go one size down from the Medium size that appeared to be the default size on the pair I received. The initial fit was very good for noise canceling (even at low volumes), but my ears hurt from the fit after less than 20 minutes. A little less noise reduction with the smaller eargels, but definitely more comfortable for me. When using the controls on the Sesh I did find some ear discomfort at times as I needed to depress the earbud (click it) and had to do so with a medium (not light) touch. This wasn't terrible, but I think users who frequently like to change their volume settings, answer calls or fast forward to their favorite songs, may find this issue less than favorable. The Sesh buds didn't stick out much from my ears and looked fairly flush, which I liked. This was better than most wireless buds I've tried and it seemed to help with noise cancelation too. NOTE: The true test for the fit will be at the gym when sweating and movement attempt to dislodge these buds. I'll update the review with further use. When fully charged in the included case the Sesh in-ear headphones offer up to 3 hours of use. The case recharges the earbuds and with that capability, you have up to 10 hours of charge for your Sesh earbuds. The earbuds snap into the case in such a way that you feel them connect (it's magnetic) and seat in the charger. Closing the magnetic lid on the charger there is a snap that indicates it has magnetically and securely closed. There are 4 LED lights that will illuminate on the front of the case when the case and earbuds are fully charged and connected via USB to a power source. Those lights go out when the case is unplugged. You can charge your Skullcandy Sesh earbuds in their case via USB ports on computers, power banks and via a USB connection in your car. The included cable is very short, but you probably have compatible extras from other gadgets available to you and if not, a longer cable can be obtained for less than five dollars. I liked Sesh a lot, and I can see where those who haven't ever experienced wireless earbuds would find the user-experience out of the box much less intimidating than some others. And since Sesh was created with that audience in mind, they should want the User Manual to be a good supplement to the product. Unfortunately, this is where I think Skullcandy dropped the ball. The included sheet of instructions, er... User Manual was immediately confusing to me and I'm a tech geek who lives for this stuff! Thankfully, the Skullcandy website was very helpful in that it provided video tutorials and more information than the included sheet did. The Skullcandy Help Center has a video walkthrough that I highly recommend instead of the included Sesh User Guide. 😎 My Final Thoughts on Sesh: Whether you are a long-time wireless Bluetooth in-earphone user or a first time user, Skullcandy Sesh is worth your consideration. The sound is great. The fit is good. Battery life is good and the buds fit well and charge quickly in the charging case as long as you take care to make sure they are seated properly and the lid is secure. The controls are easy to use after a little practice, Sesh uses the latest Bluetooth 5.0 technology, the earbuds are dirt and sweat-resistant, and their two-year limited warranty is better than most. I wasn't happy with the included directions for set up and use, and depressing the controls on the earbuds took a little more pressure than expected and caused discomfort over time. It is for these reasons I give this product 4 stars. Overall, I really like Sesh and I'm already thinking about giving these as gifts this holiday season as I know my friends and family will enjoy them too! ---------------------------------------------- UPDATE: 9/18/19 - used these at the gym today and while there was no issue with the fit, the right earbud did disconnect from my iPhone 8 Plus three times. The earbuds reconnected quickly, but time will tell if this is an ongoing issue or just a fluke. My iPhone was in my pocket at the time these disconnects happened. ---------------------------------------------- NOTE: Below is information about Sesh taken directly from the Skullcandy website. 📌 What comes in the box? - Sesh True Wireless Earbuds - Eargels (S, M, L) - Charging Case - Micro-USB Charging Cable - User & 2-Year Warranty Guide ------------------------------------------------ 🛠Tech Specs: Headphone Type: True Wireless In-Ear Connection Type: Bluetooth® 5.0 Impedance: 16 Ohms ±15% Driver Diameter: 6mm THD: <3% at 1KHz Sound Pressure Level: 99-105dB Frequency Response: 20Hz - 20KHz Weight: 59.5g (earbuds); 106g (case) ------------------------------------------------ 📌 How to Pair Sesh for the First Time: 1. • Great sound.. When it works
Color: Black
I am a bit of a frugal guy and so I have been dancing around getting a good pair of wireless earbuds for the right (low-mid-ish) price. I tried a few before seeing these at a more than reasonable price of $45 bucks. I was pumped and when I got them in my ears and fired up some music, needless to say I was impressed and glad I had lucked into this purchase. Until the right earbud kept dropping connection/sound. I can't tell you how disappointed I am after experiencing what I would say is really good sound quality, a solid product build, incredible fit/comfort and generally responsive and intuitive control performance. And despite seeing this complaint popping up in a few reviews, I guess I thought I would be one of the lucky ones. I will say that it is incredibly reliable when I'm inside either in my office or at my home, no issues whatsoever. But I do a majority of my listening while biking or out on a walk-about or in the grocery store. So to have the audio cut out CONSISTENTLY with my phone no more than 3 feet away in my pocket is incredibly frustrating. It is most noticeable when I am outside on the street at work, and I think it might have something to do with the environment that I am in, a downtown metropolitan area. Perhaps it's something with the environment/buildings/signal interference, which would suck greatly since I ordered a replacement. Hopefully it's just a faulty pair, I will be updating my review upon further analysis of the replacement pair. Until then, at least one works I guess.. UPDATE: So I have tried a second pair and the problems outlined above plague this set also. I have subsequently purchased a pair of SoundPEATS for about $38.00 and have had significantly less issues with what might be considered an inferior brand. I have experienced two instances of signal interruption, one was literally a split second interruption, the other lasted for several seconds but this is no way comparable to the issues I had with the Sesh buds. For the money, the SoundPEATS are both more reliable and also offer a similar sound quality. What small percentage of bass they are lacking in comparison to the Sesh buds is negligible when faced with the incredibly poor performance Sesh delivers. I would recommend only buying Sesh if you are using them in an enclosed area that isn't inundated with other signals as I am positive that is the issue here. The Sesh buds cannot maintain a solid connection when faced with ambient wireless signals of any significance. ... show more
