I am very particular about towels. They need to be soft without the slimy feel of velour, textured enough to scrape water off, and have minimal or no decorative band which is just a non-absorbent harsh area useless for drying. They also need to look nice. These score in all categories. Though they worried me on arrival with feeling thin and slick, one run through the wash fluffed them up wonderfully. I can dab my fingers on them and the water wicks off. The scalloping of the design is cushiony. There's no useless stripe of decorative banding! The color is also gorgeous. For some reason it came out greener in my photo; the hue you see on the Amazon page is what you will get. My new bathroom has felt a little too cool in tones with the blue and white; this towel brightens the whole room up. (Yes I have non-matching blinds over the tub, the bathroom used to be green and replacing those hasn't been a priority, but thanks to this towel I finally know what color I'd like for eventual new ones). I was very nervous about buying towels I couldn't handle first but now I want more towels from this maker. ... show more
