I purchased the unicorns & princesses version of this foil art & I was extremely happy with my purchase! Thank goodness I brought this to Kaanapali, Maui on my vacation last week with my 5 year old niece. Due to the chaos/fires/power outages there we had no power the last few days & had no idea if we would ever get out of there. This box of fun was a lifesaver for entertaining myself & my 5-year old niece while there without power (& terrified what was going to happen next-evacuate etc). Both my niece & I were beyond excited when we saw how beautiful the art turned out, as well as how easy it was to do. I was worried that it required more effort than it did. Thought it would take trimming of the foil or something, but it really is simple. Just remove the sticker pieces one by one, or many at once if the same color is desired, then press the foil paper on it & that is it! The only thing that I believe can be improved upon is some way to cover the finished product. They get stuck to each other once done & then the color fades with each finger or page smoosh. If there was maybe somehow a layer of clear sticker that could be set on top of the entire sticker object once finished then I would be beyond excited. I currently am trying to figure out a way to MacGyver it myself ha. I’ll be purchasing the animals &/or space version of it today for my friends son though, I think he will love it too. Highly recommend this for a wide range of ages. The stickers can be simple & easy for the younger ones, or they can do a more detailed version by coloring every tiny section differently. I kept myself (an adult) busy for a good few hours with it when I was alone with nothing to do ha. I was happy with my finished product. So it is also fun for adults fyi, especially ones that aren’t great at drawing or painting like myself, but enjoy creative beautiful things. :) ... show more

It was a gif to my 7 year old but my 4 year old also enjoyed it. It was a lot easier to use than I thought. I only had to show it once to my 7 year old and she was able to do it herself. The 4 year old also learned to do it after a few trials. They kept playing with it for hours. It is so addictive, LOL. Even I wanted to get my hands on it. I ordered this item for my daughter who is 3 years old. She loves this activity such as picking out the different colors and art pieces to place on the boards. I wish the small foil pieces were a little bit bigger use but plenty of colors to use! This is a great craft that different than the usual!

Kids age 2-6 got the hang of this pretty quickly - take off part of the foam sticker front covering, put foil on top, rub, and the sparkly foil is transferred. You can take off different parts of the sticker fronts to do them in different colors. Then take off the sticker back to add the whole sticker to a colorful sturdy background. There are lots of foils and stickers and the results are satisfyingly shiny and sparkly without the mess of glitter. Four kids had plenty to use from one kit although there were different levels of interest. However BE PREPARED FOR CLEAN UP of many VERY SMALL sticker front coverings - think tips of candles, eyes, carrot nose, etc. Even as adult it was difficult to prevent these from going everywhere. Needed a vacuum to get it all cleaned up. Definitely NOT a plane or car ride activity (which I was hoping for) as I had been intending to give different kits for the trip home. There are many foils provided so lots of red and green although I was wishing for more color variety - like black for snowman top hat or brown for wood. Google eyes are very small (appropriately sized tho’ for size of sticker) but hard to work with as static electricity makes them adhere to fingers etc. Even talented 6 year old needed help. Can take a lot of patience and time if you do all the parts of the sticker different colors. If you don’t rub hard enough or fully around then foil won’t transfer to those areas (sticky black shows through). We ended up using kids glue sticks with the caps on as rubbing instruments which helped. The 2 (almost 3 year old) did everything in all one color and enjoyed it that way. 6 year old enjoyed doing different parts different colors and layered stickers (like holly on wreath) but it took a long time (she has a lot of patience). Overall kids were impressed with their sparkly work and enjoyed it because it was so different - just be prepared for the drawbacks. At least there was no paint or glitter.
