The SKIL Compact Workbench with Folding Stand is a multi-functional workbench and stand with a fold flat design for easy storage and a quick-connect system for fast, easy setup without tools. The workbench features easy-to-use controls for clamping and securing both small and large objects into place.     • Worked better than I thought...
Style: 10" Table Saw
It was time to replace my old table saw, so I started looking around. I wanted a table saw fastened to a platform which could be rolled around to where you want it. You could find them, but they weren't cheap. The price on this SKIL saw was decent, so I ordered one, hoping for the best. It had no wheels, but at least it had legs. The legs looked really cheesy and flimsy, but after reading the reviews, I thought I'd order the saw and reluctantly test it. I'm glad I did! The pictures do not do the SKIL saw any justice. It took 30 seconds to set the legs up and it is sturdy! I was really surprised. I'm also really warming up to this saw without wheels. The legs fold up easily and fast giving the saw a small footprint and easily stored. I'm impressed. The table saw fence is sturdy and quite impressive. This saw will handle everything plus more than my old saw did. It has the power and extra features you don't find on other table saws. Get one, you won't be disappointed! ... show more

Style: 10" Table Saw
This is much better than some table saws I have used before. Yes, it costs a bit more than some, but the features really make it worth the money. The rack and pinion rip fence is great; the fence always stays lined up with the blade. The micro adjustment to align the blade exactly is also nice once you get it set, no more extra cut off by the back edge of the blade like happens when the blade is not aligned with the rip fence. Having one of the legs be adjustable in length makes it super easy to stabilize the table and having locations on the sides of the saw for storing things like the miter, push stick, the elbow for connecting a shop vac to help collect sawdust also has a clip for storing it on the saw!. The only thing missing is a switched power outlet for the shop vac so that it would always turn on when the saw was on. Minor inconvenience. ... show more

    • Absolutely amazing for the price but messy
Style: 10" Table Saw
I needed something for cutting acrylic sheets for display cases I'm making for Lego sets. Since purchasing cases is just a ridiculous expense, I figured it's cheaper to just make them. This arrived, but part was damaged in shipping, despite no damage to the box. But it must have shifted somehow, so one of the brackets on the auxiliary fence was bent, and it couldn't fold over into the out of the way position. I already had registered this for the warranty, so when I called, they asked for the part on the IPB in the manual, said OK, and three days later it is already out for delivery. The entire auxiliary fence piece, not just the one bent bracket. So their support is outstanding. This is a delight to work with. Setup is a breeze with the legs unfolding. I replaced the blade with one specifically designed for acrylic, and the performance has been outstanding. The options for adjustments are far more than I'll ever need. And the stability of the platform, despite being a portable one, is great. No movement once I start cutting, the table stays steady on these foldable legs. Even with the shop vac connected to the discharge, though, it's an absolute MESS of dust. I had to throw away the pair of pants I was wearing the first time I tried this out since it was just so covered with tiny plexiglass dust, there was no way it was ever going to come clean. I have some cardboard I've since placed around the legs to block it from getting everywhere, since most of the mess was coming from underneath, and that will help. I may end up looking at some of the youtube videos to create my own dust collection unit for the blade as well. Meanwhile I've purchased some wet gear to throw over my clothes like I'm going to go fishing, so any dust can be brushed off easily from the slick surface. But aside from that, the results are great. No problems moving things through the blade. I like the safety shutoff option so it won't come back on if power is interrupted and you don't have the material still being held. Not sure if the anti kickback tool would really help on acrylic either, but so far everything has moved through just smoothly. Got it on sale, so there is no way to possibly beat the value for the price. ... show more

Very pleased! I chose this saw because it was less than half the cost of the worksite saw by the big D brand, and a little more than half its weight. I wondered about quality and precision, but the price and Amazon's return policy prompted me to give it a try. I am so glad I did! This is an excellent portable table saw for a home-owner or skilled handyman. Its rugged, stable, powerful, and accurate. The table is a little small compared to a heavy contractor saw, and there is no provision for add-ons like table extensions. But its fifty pounds lighter and less than half the price of those saws! Is this the perfect saw? No. The table is small and it is loud--quite a bit louder than I expected. But, still, it is a good quality portable. It is light enough to carry with one hand, and it folds small enough to store on a shelf. Exactly what I wanted. Highly recommended! Update after a year's use: I've used this saw on multiple home improvement projects. In every case I've been the limit to accurate cuts, not the saw. I will saw the sound gets tiring; it's a very loud saw. But I'd still recommend this saw. It has worked very well for me, and I'm glad I bought it. ... show more
