The Skil 94100-05 Pruning Reciprocating Saw Blades are designed for extremely fast cutting in wood pressure treated lumber, wet wood and composition board. These blades feature a fleam ground design that let you cut on both forward and reverse strokes. With 4-5 TPI and 9 inches in length, and made of strong and durable high carbon shell with fire-hardened cutting edges, the Skil 94100-05 blades can also be used for pruning. Five blades are included in the pack. These blades fiat all Skil and most other major brand reciprocating saws. I’ve had one of these blades in my saw for a couple years and have done some heavy duty sawing trees and limbs and even have bent it because I got it pinched in a tree limb I was cutting down. It stayed sharp and is really a good quality blade. Very aggressive so cutting time is reduced. Love them!

    • Best blade that I have found for pruning and cutting tree limbs.
Living in an area that is prone to tropical storms, I have tried a variety (three or four other brands) of different reciprocating saw blades for cutting downed tree limbs, and the Skill "Ugly" is the best that I have found. These blades do not warp as bad as some of the others when they get hot during extended use. They cut well in both directions and do not clog. They are well made and stay sharp. I bought a Ryobi reciprocating saw and a 4ah battery to trim some tree branches. I needed some blades designed for that purpose, so I started researching the net. I'm familiar with the curved style hand pruning saw and their efficiency, but usually they are most effective in one direction. These straight blades are designed to cut in both directions (reciprocating) and I couldn't find a better deal on a 5-pack set anywhere. I've used them mainly for limbs that are about 1/2 inch to 2-1/2 inch diameter. I can say that green wood cuts easier than dead limbs which are hard. With the saw/battery combination I have, you can cut a lot of limbs before the battery needs recharging. I purchased a special diamond shaped file for sharpening the teeth on the curved saws because each tooth has 4 sides, and I think it will work on these blades too. The only thing to watch out for is pinching the blade which may bend it or give your wrist a jolt. All in all, these will last me a long time. ... show more
