I’m a volunteer FF and bought this so I could put on/take off easily. The light is great and works perfectly. But as a lot of people before me have mentioned, the magnets that come with the light just aren’t strong enough for me to feel comfortable driving. I got new magnets from Amazon, with holes, and quickly replaced using 8-32 machine bolts. I’ve hit 80 with not even a rattle up there. It’s not a $1200 Whelen set up by any means, but can’t beat for the price. ... show more

For the price, you won’t find a better light bar. I use it daily, sometimes over 8 hours and it works perfectly. Magnetic and strong. Stays where you put it no matter how fast you are going. I use it for traffic gigs and it can be seen very well. Only issue I had was that the plug wire was very short and the attachment would get caught in the door. Easy fix....Add about four feet of wire and cut the attachment off, then wrap with electrical tape. Problem solved. ... show more

The magnets are not strong enough to hold light bar on vehicle. The magnets are cheaply made and the only thing expected to hold the light bar on vehicle are 4 small weak magnets on each set. The hardware that came with the light bar is very minimal.

The media could not be loaded. Works as described, though it requires a little assembly (and doesn't come with $.02 lockwashers to keep it together). I wanted maximum light output and visibility, but it lays too low to be seen much by something that is down a hill or low on the road. It just DOESN'T FIT on a midsized vehicle roof that has a curve. I have to turn it kiddy-corner to get it to fit, and I wouldn't trust it to stay on at highway speeds without using a tie-down through my doors to cinch it down. I'm about to order a 38" instead of this 48", This 48" would work perfect on a large truck or a large SUV but I have a Ford Escape. UPDATE: the 38 fits great, but one of the settings 10 different settings is OFF... so if you hurrily hit both switches from the "constant on" function, you will have turned it to the NO LIGHTS setting despite the lit switch inside of the vehicle!!! Update update: the 36" blew off at 90mph, and was only holding on by the cord. Undamaged, but scratched my paint up. ... show more

This light bar was simple to install. The brightness is fantastic. It goes in my firefighter/EMT son's Jeep for times when he needs to light up on the road when he is off duty but first on-scene. The light bar is a great size for his Jeep Wrangler. I feel better about him being so well-lit on the side of the road.
