Description

The SKIL 24” digital level tool is easy to use and packed with features. Its longer length makes it ideal for leveling across several pictures, putting up wider shelves, installing cabinets and lots of other DIY projects around the house. The high-contrast blue vials are highly accurate and easy to see. The digital LCD screen is backlit, so you can read it from any perspective, and adjusts to the correct orientation however you hold it. Arrows and optional audible tones guide you to the perfect angle, and the Hold feature allows you to freeze the value of one angle so you can check it against another. The Memory feature lets you store 10 values and reference them later. A magnetic edge makes the leveler tool especially easy to use one-handed.

Works well, easy to read and very precise. The only negative was hanging metal curtain rods and the two magnets stuck on the rod and not the level. The Skil Company put two little drops of glue to hold them in place. Why even do it? It's a little tricky getting the level to read 0.0... I have many levels big and small but this is the only one I own that is digital. I use it almost every time. You can get it into tighter spaces since it's short and with great accuracy due to it being digital. If you need to draw a longer line than the level it can be easily done in two steps.... you can match up one end of the level on your prior line and rotate until you see zero on the screen and then draw the second line to make a 2 ft line. Works fast & easy. Being able to get this in tighter spaces makes it more useful compared to a longer level. It's worth every penny. ... show more

My advice would be to not leave the batteries in it for a long period of time if you aren't using it. If the batteries leak it can ruin the contacts.

I now have the 12" and 24" versions of this level. I is extremely easy to read in all levels of light. The display is just superb. The option it has to stop beeping when you're at 0 is great. It allows you to focus on your work without having to back and forth from your work and the bubble. I also really like the color. It's easy to find almost regardless of where you've laid it. Battery life is pretty good, could be a little longer -- however I'm not going to take points off for it. It's really a great level. At the price point; if you're thinking about it you could purchase one and try it without much to lose. I think you will like it though. ... show more

Love it. Easy to use and highly accurate. My wife seems to be able to detect anything that isn't perfectly level. Like "hey that picture is not straight or that mirror is crooked" I installed new bathroom lighting and this instrument made it easy to get the almost 5' bar perfectly level. The mirror guys installed mirrors almost perfectly, but this level detected the error and allowed me to get it perfect. Okay, it's more expensive than just a bubble level, but man once you get to 0.00 you know it's spot on. ... show more
