This is the first year our family purchased skis. Up until now we've only ever rented skis at the ski area. No upkeep. No wax. No tuning. Just tell them your size at the counter and off you go. Great... but expensive if we're there as a family for multiple days. They've expressed interest in regularly skiing every year on winter break. So we decided to buy skis for the first time. And boots. And roof cross bars. And a ski rack. $$$ With owning skis come RESPONSIBILTY. Hah. I seriously never realized how much work they are to maintain if you want to keep them in good condition. First I got this tool kit. Then I got ski wax. Then a hot iron for the wax. More $$$ But at least we can save some money by waxing our own skis between trips. We will get the skis professionally tuned at the end of the season before storage. These ski wax tools will help between tuneups. The current price (Jan 2025) of 45dollars seems high. But I really have nothing to compare it to. ALL SKI RELATED stuff is pricey!

This kit includes a high-quality edge sharpener and honing stones that will put a razor-sharp edge on your skis or snowboard. The sharpener is a common design that allows you to choose from an 86, 87, 88, or 89-degree angle. The brushes are all nice with an edge you can grip. I wasn't expecting a case, but it is very handy. The scraper is too small for snowboards but it works well for skis. For the $47 price, it is a bit overpriced without including wax but these are decent tools and they will last a long time.

I recently purchased this ski and snowboard waxing kit. It has some of the basic tools you need, but it is missing a few things I would consider essential for a legit kit. For example, it doesn't include an iron or Ptex. If you are willing to spend a bit more, I recommend getting a combo Tune, Wax, and Repair kit, which would be a more valuable option.

This wax kit has a lot of really great items all packed into a nice zippered case. The base sharpener holder and file, diamond stones, brushes and gummy stone are all really nice accessories for hand waxing light tuning, and exposing the base structure after waxing. Nice kit!

This is a pretty good ski wax kit. I have a snowboarder and a skier in the family and they both give their approval. It was their first time waxing their items themselves and they found that it contained almost everything they needed aside from the wax and waxing iron. Note: It would be nice if it included a photo list of the items included without having to look it up on the webpage and some basic instructions for beginners. I guess that's what Youtube is for...

This kid comes with all the basics for bass texturing using brushes and edge beveling and sharpening using files and diamond stones. This comes with a small scraper for skis, you may want a wider one for snowboards. It also comes with an edge tool that's set to multiple angles from 87 to 90°. I like the way the edge tool allows you to set the file along lengthwise or across the base for base bevels.
