  • EXCEPTIONALLY MADE GLOVES
Color: Black Size: Small
The gloves arrived on time as promised. They are very soft inside. These are a good value at a great price, and are even on sale through the holidays. They have a well made zipper pouch on the top cuff of EACH glove to store a key, some money, etc and that is a very nice feature I have not seen in other gloves. I have tried several other brand gloves and none so far have come close to the workmanship and comfort as this glove. They are stitched very well and should hold up well. I did do the water test under the faucet and the waterproofing feature seems to work well as water just beads up and runs off of them. I really like the gauntlet cuff and the strap. The wrist strap is superb on these gloves and works very easily with no snagging. As far as warmth, these are rated with very warm insulation. Although I do not ski, I opted for this glove because of the insulation factor, as I have Raynaud's Syndrome. I imaging if someone were skiing, this glove would be ideal to keep them warm, given their better circulation and also being waterproof. Velazzio does make a battery heated glove and because I have Raynaud's, I am going to try these. I am hoping they will be as well made as these are. These are not quite warm enough for my fingertips for me in 20 degree weather, not due to a deficiency in the gloves by any means, but rather a health condition of my own. If I were a skiier, I would definitely give these gloves a try for sure. I think most people would be most pleased with them. ... show more

  • Great Gloves at a great price
Color: Black Size: X-Large
These gloves exceeded my expectations, especially for the cost. I was expecting "okay" gloves at best, but these are pretty darned good gloves. I haven't had an opportunity to test the waterproof aspect fully, but I can say that while shoveling the driveway and sidewalk in 12 F weather my hands stayed warm. They were so comfortable that I forgot I was even wearing them until it was time to take them off when I came inside. Upon removing the gloves after a vigorous amount of exercise and working up a sweat in 12F-degree weather, my hands were not sweaty, cold, or waterlogged, and the inside of the gloves didn't pul out like some cheaper gloves tend to do. While the rest of my body was pretty sweaty due to my winter attire and the amount of exercise exerted, the gloves somehow kept my hands just right without feeling even the slightest bit damp or cold. Upon opening the package, I noticed these gloves were quite a bit heftier than any of my winter gloves. There is a significant weight difference. I knew then that these were likely going to be better than what I'm used to. I'm not a big guy, but I do have pretty large hands for my size. The Large/Extra Large size fits me perfectly. Even the finger length is just right for me. Usually, when I buy gloves, I must get extra-large to get them over my thick hands, but then the fingers tend to be a little too long. Not these, they are perfect! My palm circumference is 9.25 inches and my middle birdie finger measures 3.25 inches. Time will tell if these hold up over time. I'm not an avid skier since I live in Missouri, but I'm pretty active and will likely abuse the gloves while working with things harsher than holding ski poles. If they last me a couple of years I'll feel like I got more than my monies worth. If you're looking for good winter gloves that won't break the bank, give these a shot. I'm happy with my purchase. ... show more

  • Pockets Rock it
Color: Black Size: Large
Just received these gloves yesterday as the blizzard came in. Bought them for outdoor chores in snow like shoveling and snow-blowing, as well as playing with my sons in the snow. Went out today to clear all the snow from a corner lot and 4 car driveway in Wisconsin. Temperature was -10 the whole time, with 25mph winds meaning real feel was -45. Before I could get outside, I had to adjust my snow blower, put on my boots, etc. All of this was in my sunroom, which isn't connected to my home's heat. I have an electric radiator in there, left on all during the storm to keep the room warm. It wasn't keeping up, so this room was cold, and my hands got cold while trying to get everything done. I put on the gloves, and started outside, and made it maybe ten minutes before I couldn't feel my fingers at all and had to retreat inside. My mistake - my hands just weren't warm enough to generate any heat for the gloves to hold. Warmed up my hands and changed tactics - I got them nice and warm, then put hand warmers in the pockets of the gloves. Geared up and put them on again, then was able to finish the work outside. All told I think I spent about 1.5 hours outside working this morning. After that initial setback, my hands were comfortably warm the whole time. In -45 real feel temperatures holding onto cold metal tools. The pockets are clutch, and once you give them some warmth to hold on to, they really do it! No wind or wetness leaked through, but I'll update if needed after my kids and I go play in the snow later this weekend. Let's talk dexterity - always the trade off with bulky gloves. Wearing these gloves I was able to: Put on and zip up my coat. Tighten the wrist straps. Shovel snow. Operate a snow-blower that has fairly large bars and controls. Use a socket wrench to adjust my snow-blower's skid shoes. Punch the tiny buttons on my house door's key pad lock with decent accuracy (maybe messed up once in 4 times). I couldn't quite manage to tie my boot laces wearing these, but it was actually close. I was frankly impressed. Let's talk fit: I have relatively small length hands compared to their width, so I had to choose between having gloves that were wide enough vs long enough. I went with wide enough, and the length was enough, but just barely. That's more because of the shape and size of my hands than anything else, I think. I might have been able to go one size up, but I don't think I'll need to, they worked great at this size. I ordered the Large, but the XL might have worked better for me. Even a touch small, they were comfortable and worked well. For a $20 pair of gloves, these have been excellent so far! ... show more

  • Fairly Solid Snowboard Gloves
Color: Black Size: Large
I wore these Snowboarding in Bogus Basin, ID while on a trip. They’re pretty warm and windproof, but more so water resistant than waterproof. With that being said the only I can say I began to feel the cold through the gloves was when the conditions were 14° and windy. I’m also a beginner snowboarder so I’m consistently in the snow catching myself falling. The gloves were perfect for the days when it was low 20°-30°, so I’d say they’re a great bang for your buck. Overall I was really happy with them and the quality of the materials was totally solid. ... show more
