    • Hardly fogs up!
I rode in snowstorms, in sub zero temps, as well as mid 20's (Fahrenheit). One time I had a little bit of fog because the helmet wasn't adjusted correctly so I plugged in the warmer and finished the ride. 99% of the time you will not need the electric shield. The red LED is not a gimmick, people behind me liked it on so they could see me better on the trail. I do like the chin strap, it's easy unbuckle even with gloves on. The biggest con to me is the location of the plug for the heated visor. It is too close to the chin strap and is seems awkward to me. While I was waiting for my order (size L) to come in, I tried on a Mod 3 helmet size XL and I could hardly fit my head in it so I want back to Amazon and ordered an XL BV2S to be safe. Both helmets arrived a few days later and the large fit me fine so I returned the XL. Amazon has better prices than walking into a dealer but I would recommend trying before you buy because different helmets seem to fit differently. ... show more

    • Best helmet I have tried yet but some issues.
This helmet with or without the shield heater is very good. It keeps the fogging out 100%. I recommend to get the largest size you can as it is very tight to get on but roomy once on. Two sizes up was need for me and my kids. I did get some breath moister past the mouth piece cover around the upper noise so on sub zero F days you can't wear glasses. I glued on a metal noise bridge pincher that I salvaged from an old dust mask which stopped the breath moister getting past the upper noise. You get 3 different front mouth vent flaps, I recommend the one with 3 bypass holes or don't put one in at all if you can take the cold air coming in as the stops 100% of the fogging however with a heated shield it wouldn't matter. Lots of moister from your breath bets in the mask so it is nice you can unsnap the mouth piece and wash it after each ride. ... show more

I wear really strong prescription glasses, snowmobiling was a little hard when your glasses fog up all the time. This helmet solves that problem completely!! No fogging issues and visibility is great! Now I just need to buy the right comm set so we can talk to each other again when we are riding.
