I needed sturdy boots to wear while riding my Royal Enfield Interceptor 650, and decided to give Skechers a try since the other Skechers shoes I've owned have been exceptionally comfortable. Ordering shoes or boots online is always a bit of a gamble, but these fit well right out of the box. The toe box is 'relaxed fit' which is perfect for motorcycle riding so that your toes aren't jammed together on the pegs. I have a narrow foot, so added a padded insole for a better fit. The soles are very firm and stable, which is why I needed boots for riding in the first place. With heavier bikes it's important to have solid support whenever you're straddling the bike with your feet on the ground, to keep the weight balanced and steady. I wasn't sure these boots would be heavy enough to provide the needed support, but they turned out to be perfect. Of course they're not dedicated moto boots, with reinforced ankle points and so on, but for around town they're fine. I do have a heavier and taller pair of boots for touring. I've owned these boots for three years now and wear them with jeans for almost any occasion because they're so comfortable. Some people think I'm wearing Blundstones, but these feel better than Blunnies due to the relaxed toe box, plus they're half the price. Two weeks ago the rubber sole started separating from the leather upper on one boot, so I'm planning on going to a shoe repair shop soon to have it re-attached. I'm taking a star off for the sole coming loose, although perhaps that's to be expected after three years.

The pic does not show the zipper and the description does not mention it. It just says "Closure type - slip on. The zipper starts just over 3 inches above the heel which seems reasonable as I don't plan to go wading in any obviously deep water with these. I have worn them walking through flooded sidewalks and rain soaked grassy areas and my feet have stayed dry with these. They are roomy and reasonably comfortable. And they go on and off pretty quick with no laces to worry about.

I was searching for a leather work boot that was comfortable and would cover my ankles as well. I love the fact that there are no laces to get in the way. I simply slip my boots on in the morning and off I go. They are extremely durable. I have had mine for a few years now and they are still going strong. This is just what I needed. I recommended them to a few of my coworkers.

This shoe is very comfortable to wear all day, but I was very disappointed when after 4 months of wearing, the leather of the shoe started peeling all around the shoe, for the price, I would have expected them to use a quality leather to make the shoe. It became so embarrassing to wear to work, this is definitely the last Skechers brand I am ever going to buy…

I've been a devoted Skechers boot wearer for ten yrs and this is my first/only disappointment. Boot is well constructed, nice inner soles, perfect toe box. But trying to slip my foot in nearly gives me a hernia. There's no elastic on the sides but there is a zipper. The problemo is that the upper is quite small proportionately to the foot AND there is a very rigid piece on the outside of the heel that doesn't "give", making putting it on even more difficult. I am average size and regular ankles and sadly, won't be wearing these often. It's too tiring to get them on.
