My husband wore boots everyday to work but had to switch to something with more support after recent back surgery. These shoes are perfect. They don't look like dress shoes, which was important to him and the heel still allows him to wear his slightly longer pants that he wore with his pull on Rocky's. The laces and shoes are holding up nicely and he says they are comfortable for all day wear. My husband has a wide foot, ordered 13W and they fit perfect so I would say they are true to size. Update: My husband wore these about 3 days a week to his office job for a little more than a year and they ripped on the top (seam near laces). They are comfortable shoes but not as durable as other shoes he has for 2+ year.
