This isn't a quickie review, I've been wearing this boot to work in my yard and on the river front footage of my property for almost a year. I'm a retired senior citizen that has been wearing boots most of my life. I was a lineman for Illinois Bell Telephone for 35 years and worked outside 365 days a year. I can't begin to estimate the number of pairs of boots I have gone through over the years that said they were waterproof. Most of them were for the first couple of weeks, then they would first get damp then just flat out leak. This is the first pair of leather boots I've ever owned that truly are both comfortable and waterproof. I am so happy I found these work boots for my son. They have memory foam and they are comfortable. At first they were a little tight on the back top part of the ankle. He loosened the laces up and they were a much better fit. I will update if anything changes..

Update: It's been 9 months, and the boots are still fantastic. They're the most comfortable boot I've ever owned. The microfiber does need cleaned to stay looking like it did when it was new, but I wear these all day, every day, and they have held up. They are perfect for everyday use. I am extremely happy with them and just bought the black pair. I hope they also live up to the expectations. These boots were good as expected. Thy were a bit pricey, but I cannot complain. They fit true to size and are extremely comfortable and warm. They are probably perfect fall and winter boots, and the charcoal color looks very sharp. The only "complaint" I have isn't really a complaint, but just something to be aware of: that they are very well insulated. The tongue is thick, and the boots are waterproof, so your feet stay very warm. If you work in the cold elements, or your feet get cold easy, then you'll be happy. If you walk a lot and need a fall/winter boot and don't mind breaking in a heavier boot, these are for you. If you like a fall color to wear with jeans and long sleeves, again, these are for you. If you live in the south and want these to work in a factory or construction, or to wear out in the summer, you may want to find boots that breathe more/better. The price I paid was good. They are a work boot and the size 9 I ordered fit me well. They are comfortable to wear after I replaced the insoles with something with better cushioning and support in the arch. Unfortunately the sole just started to separate from the upper shoe so they are no longer waterproof and probably will not last much longer. I am not hard on my shoes and I generally get several years out of them before something like this happens. I have had a pair of Skechers shoes that lasted about 5 years when I wore through the soles and had to retire them. I like the brand and I hope for better life out of the slip ons I recently bought. ... show more

I'm writing this review 1 year after purchasing. I had bought these boots for my husband probably 10 yrs ago at an outlet mall. He literally wore the souls off them. Could never find them in store again. Found them last year and the quality is still the same. They're his favorite work boots. They don't hurt his feet and they're very comfortable.
