I have bought several high dollar, high brand boots in the past. These boots by far are very comfy, warm, durable, and waterproof. Now i dont mean walking through puddles all day, but walking in wet grass, an inch or two of snow, and rain, it does the job well. Im a mail carrier and am on my feet all day walking at least 10 miles a day. GREAT BOOTS!!!

This boot is made with 100% "imitation leather" (plastic). Not one bit of real leather anywhere on this boot! The 1st bullet point is inaccurate and misleading. NOTE that other sellers of this boot on Amazon do not claim it is 100% leather. This type of false advertising should not be tolerated on Amazon!!!

I have been wearing Keen hiking boots sort of like this for a while, but the thing about Keens is, after they become a certain age, they start actively hurting your feet. I needed a new pair after having worn mine for over 5 years, and I decided that I should dang sure be able to find a good pair of outside shoes for less than $160. These looked nice, and were 1/3 the price of the Keens, so I took a shot. I have a long history of loving Skechers. I have flat feet that are a "D" width in cowboy boots, so shoes like Merrill don't fit me worth a dam. Skechers and Keens are both made for my type of feet. The fact that these are also "Amazon's Choice"... well that doesn't mean a darn thing. The "Amazon's Choice" program is a good idea that is so poorly executed, as to be worthless. I got them today and as I expected they didn't feel as good as the Keens do when you first put them on, but I have been wearing them now for about two hours and they have already broken in to feel like they are made for my feet. Keens are like that from the git-go, but I'll certainly take a two-hour break-in period as being functionally equivalent. I am a computer hacker so I spend most of my regular working days sitting down, but we are remodeling our house and some days I spend all day on my feet. I haven't done that with these yet, but I expect them to be more comfortable than my old worn-out Keens. If that doesn't turn out to be true, I'll update my review. Update: I went to a friend's house yesterday afternoon and helped him tear out his kitchen. I was on my feet about seven hours in a construction area and didn't even notice my feet. These are very comfortable boots. I was also schlepping debris out through his snow-covered front yard and my feet didn't get cold or wet.

Being a Skechers brand I bought these thinking they would be a really good quality boot. Somewhat disappointed when I put them on to find they run a little large in size. Also the foot insole padding is quite thin and not very supporting or that comforting to your foot. I see buying insole linings in the very near future to put inside these boots to make them feel of better quality and supporting. I own many pairs of waterproof hiking boots of other brand names that are of way better quality and much more comfortable for about the same amount of money spent on these. Will have to see how they hold up over time.

All shoe makers seem to have decided that regular width is narrow width. Except sketchers. I generally need either a 16ee or a 15ee, and the 15 d(m) is just fine. A touch snug but pretty perfect fit for a hiking boot. The treads don’t appear to be as rugged as other hikers but in practice through some very wet and icy rocks/cliff faces these hung on great. And at least in the short term were truly waterproof. At lest ten minutes in a Running stream up above the toes and my feet stayed totally dry. I haven’t had them long but I’m impressed with the hikes they have handled in the short term. Who knows, maybe they will fall apart in a few months but as of now I’m very happy for the $48 I paid. I’d have been happy if I paid $90.

I bought the boots for a mountain trip knowing it could be wet on the trail. I purposefully walked through most puddles. The boots held up very well. No wetness at all inside. They were also comfy. My only complaint was that they are not very soft at the top and did aggravate my ankles if I turned my foot to either side when sitting or relaxing. I also had them tied tight. The climbing and hiking aspect worked well. They provided high end traction and made me feel secure standing at the edge of some awesome cliffs even with wet ground. I did not thoroughly break these in before hand either so kudos. They were slightly big but they don't sell half sizes so if you are a natural 13.5 a size 13 should work better. Highly recommend.

Got these as work boots for mowing lawn, working in garage etc. Seems heavy duty while being light. Disappointed that I tried on in store to size it at a 10D, but when I ordered a 10D from Amazon it fit tight. I'd say a 1/2 to 1 full size difference in length so variability is fairly high. I'm stretching them with some shoe trees wrapped in layers of socks. Otherwise my big toe joint would ache. Also does not breath well at all in the leather version. My feet sweat like crazy in 90+ deg. Ankle support and grip is good. I was painting the high parts of my house and these felt great walking on a steep roof. With how well I take care of things these will probably last 5+ years. Leather is easy to maintain and this is good quality leather.

In my opinion these our crappy pair of shoes. Shoelaces are real cheap after a few weeks they stripped and then snapped. One of the Rings completely pulled apart. Very uncomfortable shoe. One of the things that really annoys me most of all is that they made my feet stink. This is not my first pair of Skechers but it's definitely my last. I guess it's true what they say you get what you pay for. there are better alternatives
