This candle makes a room smell fantastic. The scent almost seems stronger when the candle is opened with the wooden lid off, but the candle is not lighted. When lighted, the scent remains, but is very subtle. The wax seems soft, almost like whipped butter. Well, not quite that soft, but softer than a taper or other candles. The first one I received had melted more than half of the wax into the box, and the smell was absolutely fantastic. I hated to return it for replacement. The replacement was not melted, but remained solid as can be seen in one of my photos. The glass that holds the candle is very nicely decorated, as is the wooden top that fits over the glass. The wooden top just sits on the glass, but does not have a silicone seal. It still helps to retain the wonderful scent of the candle while you are not using it. I intend to use this as a room air freshener in a guest bathroom, not even lighting it. The scent is strong enough for that use and smells better than any potpourri I've used.

This is a candle that is definitely on the small side, the one thing I will say, is that it is a lovely candle. The presentation is beautiful. The glass jar that the candle comes in, the color of the jar, even the packaging is gorgeous. Unfortunately, there is pretty much absolutely next to no smell whatsoever when you light this candle off. No matter what size room, closing the windows, closing the doors, trimming the wick properly, nothing helped produce any smell from this candle. Which was incredibly disappointing. From the looks and the description of the candle, I was truly expecting a beautiful Christmas tree types scent versus nothing. If you are looking for a candle, that is beautiful in presentation, only, then you have found it, but if you want the candle to smell as good as it looks, sadly, you have to keep looking for another candle The price point of this candle, and what it produces is truly disappointing.

This is a really impressive candle immediately from the packaging to the candle itself. Unfortunately the scent was not what I expected from the description. Skog was described as having pine and fir so I was expecting more of a Christmas tree smell. Instead the candle unlit has a fresh almost soapy scent, it reminds me of my husband’s Italian shaving cream. Lit it takes on a whole different scent that actually has a smoky quality. It’s a very unique scent. I hate fake smells and this is nothing like those artificial ones and as my son described it is a very genuine smell. I think the description of it complementing the room and not overpowering it is very apt. Hours later and even having opened windows the scent still lightly lingers in the room in a good way. The packaging for the candle really stands out too so this would also make a great gift.

This candle came in a very nice looking and well made gift box, making it perfect to purchase as a gift for someone. The quality of the glass, the wick, the scent and the candle itself are all very high quality with great workmanship. The cost is a little steeper than similar candles, but in my opinion its overall a good value. Now comes the most important part, the scent! It does smell a little like gingerbread, but in a very pleasant way. It’s not overwhelming or overly sweet smelling, but rather smells like “Fall”, the season if that makes sense. It appears that it will take many hours to burn through the candle, so unlike other brands/types the soy wax used is great.

Scent is interesting and nice but candle came broken. However, box seals were broken upon arrival, ribbon missing, and the wooden lid was missing. Not what I expected for an expensive candle. Will now have to exchange - or return. For the money spent I want everything as it was supposed to come after seeing the photos. Update - replacement also came broken. Amazon continues to ship glass candles in envelopes. Order from the manufacturer rather than Amazon.

I ordered this candle in SKOG, 3.17 ounces. $35 for a small candle is a very steep price, so my expectations were high. This candle is amazing. It is probably the best candle I have ever purchased, ever, and I am a bit of a candle hoarder. It was packaged beautifully in sustainable packaging. The jar and lid are understated and elegant. The scent ("forest") is awesome. It is the truest forest fragrance that I have ever smelled - but the scent is also complex and nuanced rather than straight woods. The burn is very clean. Very highly recommended.

My favorite scent is balsam fir, and this candle has the rich fragrance of trees from the Scandinavian boreal forests. As soon as I opened the package, I could smell the aroma. I let the candle sit uncovered for the day, and the scent was noticeable in my living room. I burned it for a short while, and it burned cleanly, with a subtle fragrance that drifted throughout the room. It is responsibly made, with a light ecological footprint, and I appreciate the attention to every aspect of the packaging and process. I will light it occasionally, but it is not necessary to light it to enjoy the fragrance--it is a candle to savor.

The candle smells amazing and looks great. The packaging is perfect for gift giving, as it comes in a nice box which is seen in the listing minus the bow. The glass is thick and the wooden lid is nicely done as well. It is a really great quality product. Now pay attention to the size in the listing, as it is a small candle. So it is kind of pricey for the size but again it's very nice. Really it's more of a display kind of thing or special occasion candle. The best way to look at it is as a luxury candle. In that aspect the price isn't bad at all and I definitely recommend.
