    • Nice heavy duty workbench
A different marketplace seller when I ordered this in mid March 2022, but it took near a month to arrive (seller didn't ship it until into April), and I drove down to the shipping carrier's end terminal to pick it up rather than wait any longer. So even though I gave the workbench five stars, I would only give one star to the marketplace seller (the trucking company [YRC] did a good job once they received the shipment). Anyway, there was no damage in shipping and no missing parts. The bench itself is well engineered and was simple to assemble (with a little help because I'm 80 and couldn't manage to lift the top slab), resulting in a beautiful and practical heavy duty addition to my workspace. I couldn't find anything wrong with it, and I even checked the alignment and perpendicularity of the dog holes. I had considered building such myself, but to match the quality the hardwood costs nearly as much, and to match the preciseness would be difficult without some industrial scale machinery I can't afford. This is a very nice heavy duty workbench. I love quality of this bench and look forward to each time I have a chance to use it. The bench arrived in a timely manner and was easy to put together. The top vises and sides are already assembled. I only had to add the cross beams to each side and install the top. ( very heavy btw. Would be a good idea to have assistance). This is a very nice workbench. I was planning to build a split top Roubo with Benchcrafted hardware and bought supplies for that but decided I’d rather be cutting dovetails than building a bench. The reason for the 4 stars on sturdiness isn’t because of the build but I wish it was much heavier. I can fix this with a cabinet and adding weight probably. ... show more

    • Read this before buying !
Just received today box badly damaged , missing 1 vise handle. 1 assembly bolt too short picked wrong from factory. Some minor damage to bench top , I can live with this but very disappointed . Also 4 plastic bench dogs included yes plastic not steel.

    • Great workbench
I've had one of these for almost 20 years and it has been one of the best tools I've ever bought. It came out of the box ready to use (once I assembled it) and it has been quite versatile. For example, being able to put bench dogs in the front of the legs allows you to use the front clamp to hold projects on edge for planing, sanding, routing, etc. After ten or so years I surface-sanded it and put a coat of beeswax, linseed oil, and turpentine on it. It came out just like new and smells great. And if you're a serious woodworker, don't try to make your own for $200. You'll be wasting your time and money. (I don't believe you can even buy the materials to make one for $200.) Just buy one, get on with your projects, and be happy, ... show more
