Soft and comfortable with excellent protection from the elements. This is a cotton hoodie so it's not waterproof, but I've been on a bicycle in light rain and not gotten wet at all because it sheds water. I've also have been riding my bike back and forth to work in 20°-30°F weather and barely felt the wind at all. It keeps me warm enough with nothing but a T-shirt on under it. It's price point is a bit higher than I usually pay for clothing, but you definitely get what you pay for with this brand and item. Do not buy the Hemlock green color, it bleeds a red dye into the shirt. I have 3 of them and they are all defective. Sitka made good and sent me other colors but are not stopping the sales. The weight and warmth are outstanding but be warned, you'll love the color until you wash it and ruin it. Buy any color but Hemlock green!! 4 months later update: The Grey and other colors are also ruined from bleeding in the wash. Black is the only safe bet here unless you get lucky and get a good batch that was dyed properly. Terrible quality control, absolutely terrible!! ... show more
