We have three of these containers and our kids have been bringing daily lunches in these for years. It’s easy to pack a sandwich and two sides with no excess plastic waste every day. The quality and durability is great - we have had two of these for at least 6 years. It fits in the lunch boxes well, though some lunch box shapes with this container work better with the small flower ice packs (which rest next to the container) than with the flat ice packs that add too much depth to fit. We have tried many plastic lunch containers, but usually my kids have issues getting the plastic parts that fit like a puzzle out of the main piece, and then bring it home without putting it back together and it’s just a mess. Not with this, it’s so easy my 5 yr old and my 3 year old can handle it on their own without asking for help. The lunch cube is durable and doesn’t leak (though it might if you were to put something soupy in it,duh). Typically I put a sandwich in the main container, and then rotate the sides with a combination of fruit, veggies, or chips. I’ve also put leftover pasta in the main container and had no issues with leaking. I started out with 2 of these bought in a store about a year ago, and they are still going strong with no problems. Sometimes I hand wash but also put them in the dishwasher. I bought 2 more just in case one is in the dishwasher. The only difference between the new and the old is that the older ones have become a little yellow from so much use, which is expected with any plastic. I definitely reccomend these. ... show more

I love these boxes to pack my little one his lunch. This has great portion sizes to meet the growing appetite of growing children. The snaps are nice and tight use after use, unlike many lunch boxes that are decently priced. No leak proof mechanism, but works for me, because I never give him wet food at school anyway. I have used these boxes to pack my son's elementary school lunches for years. He likes that they have multiple compartments to keep things separate; I like that it is all one piece so I don't have to worry about lost lids. The latch mechanism is secure enough that we haven't had any issues with it popping open even when dropped but easy enough to work that he didn't have any issues opening it even as a kindergartner. I only gave it 4 stars because it does have a couple of drawbacks: First, it is not water/air tight - if you put something wet (like rinsed fruit or vegetables) in it the water will seep into the other compartments and out into the lunch bag. Second, over time the hinge on the piece that separates the two halves starts to breaks and this eventually makes the box unusable. For most of our boxes this has taken at least a full school year to happen so it isn't a big issue for me, but there have been one or two that went earlier. ... show more
