  • Dark fabric? No problem!!
I bought the Siser EasyColor DTV 8.4" x 11" Sheets last year and wasn't quite sure how to use it with my Cricut. I was just starting to try sublimation at the time and didn't have a sub printer. There are no directions included with this vinyl package. The vinyl seems very flimsy which made me nervous that it might get caught in my printer and ruin it. Not so. It loaded and printed just like paper. Recently, I watched multiple videos and saw how easy this product was to use. I bought a 100% cotton shirt from Walmart for $3 and made this for my grandson and was very happy with the vinyl. The oranges and yellow colors are muted to give the image a standout but also notice the tiny green Philly Phanatic standing on the top of the stadium on the right and the letters spelling out "BEDLAM AT THE BANK' and "HARPER" at the top center of the stadium. I've tried printing this on other vinyls and the details are not clear. -Load the vinyl into your printer so it will print on the white side. DO NOT MIRROR! (I used my sublimation printer). The colors will be muted and light as they activate with the heat press. -Weed the vinyl (yes it is on a carrier sheet that is super thin) -I set my HTVRont Easy Press to 311 degrees and timer to 15 seconds. -Lint roll the shirt and preheat for 10 seconds to remove any moisture. -Place the printed vinyl on the shirt. Cover with butcher paper. Press for 15 seconds; medium pressure. -Warm or cold peel. PRO's - This vinyl is so thin you can barely feel it. Previously, I was printing on glitter, glow in the dark or HTV clear or white vinyl for dark fabrics which creates a thicker feel. This has a really nice feel and the colors are vibrant. CON's - The downside to this awesome vinyl is the price which I paid $14.99 for this 5 pack of 8.5 x 11". Also, you may need to buy Easy Subli silicone Mask (which is what they call their clear transfer sheets). This would be needed if the design had multiple shapes or letters which would allow you to transfer the vinyl to the shirt. Since I only create for friends and family, I can justify the cost. ... show more

  • Great Color Transfer and Flexibility
I watched tons of Easycolor DTV video reviews and tutorials before I dove in and tried the 5 piece product to help familiarize myself with the product and process. I did not purchase the Mask as I felt it was overpriced. I printed a solid design that did not require cutting on my Silhouette 4 to see how it was going to work, I carefully trimmed it instead with scissors. The heat setting I used was 325 degrees for 15 seconds and went back over the design for an additional 5 secs. I printed horizontally since the paper is just standard-sized. The texture was a very lightweight type vinyl. Suggestions for the manufacturer: 1) Print the name "Siser" on the back side so customers will know it instantly without stressing about it as "Asub" brand does. 2) Add larger size sheets. P.S. I did test a sample small cut using regular masking tape and it seemed to pick up the design fine. I have not washed it but read good reviews about that process. So so far, so good. ... show more

  • Great once you get it all figured out
The media could not be loaded. This was my first time trying printable DTV and I had no idea what I was doing. I used my old regular $40 Canon inkjet printer and printed on high quality. Make sure to print on the bright white side! I also made the mistake of mirroring my image the first time I printed since that's what I'm used to with sublimation. No mirroring is needed. I did not purchase the transfer masks since I read some reviews saying they aren't so good. I used an HTV transfer tape I already had, which is from Frisco Craft. I had no issues with that transfer tape. It worked very well. I pressed at 340 degrees for 15 secs and carefully peeled the mask off pretty much right away. It came out better than I expected! My daughter had been wanting a ramen shirt, so I decided to just make one for her. If this is your first time using, you are bound to make mistakes. These sheets are pretty expensive, so that's the only downside. Also, I have not washed my shirt yet, so I may update with how that turns out once I've washed it. So far, pretty pleased with my experience using the product and how my shirt came out. ... show more

I really like this brand because the print quality is very good, the colors are very bright and last a long time.

  • Good
The product came on time and nicely packaged from Kates Craft Store… However I’ll be purchasing from Michael’s from now on because theirs comes with a sheet of masking. I feel slightly cheated.

  • I think I was sent the wrong item?
I added a picture of the HTV I use that I got from Joann's which I absolutely love! But I thought I ordered the same thing from Amazon. What I got is what looks like thin sheets of paper or very thin vinyl. I'm disappointed. It also looks like it came from a 3rd party rather Siser. This stuff isn't cheap. If I knew this is what i was getting I probably would have not ordered it. If you we're looking for the Siser EasySubli HTV and mask this isn't It I'll be ordering specifically from JoAnns next time that way I know I'm getting the right product. ... show more
