This was very easy to assemble -- it's just three pieces that screw/twist together and feel very sturdy. You will want to attach your curtain's hooks prior to assembling the third part of the rod, otherwise you may not be able to get it over the rubber stoppers on the ends. The actual tension part of the rod is different than I'm used to. Rather than pulling the rod out and then securing it at the width you want, you have to twist the rod all the way to the length you want. It wasn't necessarily a bad thing, just different than I'm used to. We'll see how it holds up over time, but it is holding well so far. Just be sure to measure before you buy -- this will not fit a typical bathtub size length, so if you're shower is narrower, it will work great. If you have a normal sized bath, you may need to size up. ... show more

Our shower stall is a bit narrow and this rod fit it perfectly. There are three rod pieces that you screw together. I just used the two end pieces and set the center piece aside. Works just fine.

I should have paid more attention to the length of this rod. It was too long for my 24” shower opening, but cutting it to size with a hacksaw took only a few minutes. The paint seems durable so I hope it won’t peel, chip & rust as did the paint on my old one. This shower curtain / curtain rod comes with 3 pieces that screw together. You can leave out the center piece if you have a smaller shower or window. The pieces screw together easily, and the spring loading works well to get a snug fit in the door / window frame. I’m very happy with how easily it worked. If you don't need this on the maximum length it will work okay. When fully extended the spring has trouble and won't collapse at all in mine. I will say the paint was done nicely and the ends do have complete rubber caps which is important.
