This is not a heavy robe, it's soft and plush and medium-weight. I washed it and dried it and it shrank a little, so keep that in mind. Otherwise, this is a very nice robe at a very reasonable price. I am 5 ft 2 in, and 140 lbs, I bought the large, and it was very roomy. After washing and drying in the drier, it shrunk and now fits much better. I would recommend buying one size up so that drying will not be a problem for fit. Similar robes can be very expensive and this is a nice robe without breaking the bank. Wash this first, like you would a cheap towel - for the same reasons. It shed so much lint/material that I had to clean out my dryer. It just felt like it would, you know? Beautiful color plum/really well made/but runs small. I ordered a medium and I weigh 120 lbs and it is too small. I like a robe to be generous and sleeves longer and be able to wrap it around me. This robe is skimpy. Have already washed it so don't know if it shrunk or not. It said to wash before wearing. When I sit down it has to be open as it is so tight. This robe arrived very quickly vacuum packed. Instructions were to pre-wash before using. Sizing is accurate to runs a little small. I am 5'6" 190 lbs, I got a L feeling that robes are often over sized. This one fit like a large before washing, but did shrink in the laundry about 2 inches all around. Still wearable, but a little small now. So I would order a size up if you are not sure. The quality is very average. This is not a luxury robe, but with that said, it's light and does dry you off well. I use it only after showering, so perfect for that. I wouldn't turn to it for a warm cozy sit around in robe. The Plum color held up very well in the first cold water wash with no bleeding or much fading. The towel did shed quite a bit in the laundry and there are some "pills" on the robe now. This robe is kind of rough, not really that soft. And it's kind of thin. What is very disappointing is that it's very small to be a robe. Does not look at all like the fit in the picture that Amazon has. The sleeves are very short and it does not wrap around so much like a robe should. I got this for my daughter and she doesn't like the fit. It's not as big as she would like and I got her regular size she normally gets. I like the fit, the weight is good as it is not too hot and not too thin either. it shrunk a little as I expect from a terry fabric. problem is, if you snag a thread, it will pull alllll the way out, foot long threads are getting snipped off of this almost every time I wear it. Also, if you have a cat, it won't take them long to figure out that its fun to snag your robe. I do wear it and won't return it but I also don't recommend it if you like quality garments that will last. Where are the nice terry robes I remember from the past?! this is my second try from Amazon and will be the last. I will watch for one at a spa or gift shop and it will probably be $90 and that's fine as long as it's not a POS like this one ... show more
