I have the "double bowl" kitchen sink design and these silicone protectors fit perfectly. Right now the only problem I have is that they arrived folded in half and now they won't lay flat in the sink. I'm hoping over time they flatten out. They should work either way. I recommend this product.

When I unpacked these mats, I really liked the feel. Soft, supple, pleasant to the touch. I had high hopes. Once they were placed in the sink, I was disappointed. They were just a little bit too big for the bottom of the sink, causing them to curl on the ends upward following the sink walls. This in turn caused the dishes, especially plates, to slide to the center, not remain where I’d placed them. Not a huge problem, but I wondered why a "standard contractors sink" was not a proper fit. Most everyone who does not have custom sinks has the same size as I do. It is a standard sized sink. I wondered why the mats were just a bit too long. Not a deal killer but not what I’d expected. Then the bigger issue came to light. Though these stick very well to your hands, they do not stick to the ceramic sink. That means when you move a plate or bowl sitting on the mat, the mat moves with it. The mat does not stay in place in the sink. It does provide cushion for the contents in the sink from not coming in contact with the sink, and it has saved a couple of plates that were inadvertently dropped while hand scrubbing. There are small foot spacers on the bottom of the mat giving extra cushion to the mat, but they do not keep the mat in place. For me, I prefer a sink protector that stays in place. I hoped these would be a perfect solution, but sadly, I was left a bit disappointed. I like the fact that they protect dishes and glasses from damage in the sink while washing them. I like the feel. I like the ease of cleaning. I do not like the flexibility and unrestrained sliding movement inside the sink however, and cannot recommend these as something I use. They are not bad; just not a good fit for my needs.

I never really thought about protecting my sink. However these protectors are said to also be for protecting against hot pots or pans that are laid down on the sink or counter. They are rubber like material for easy cleaning and dishwasher safe. They have slip proof spikes on them to help them stay in place, which is great because my drains are in the center of the sink and the holes of the protectors are at the top. They don't quite fit however I have position them so the holes on the protector lines up with my sink drains. Not all sinks are made the same so not sure if they were intended to be position the way I put them but I did make them fit. They are water proof and have holes in them to prevent water or debris from lingering around. I was able to wash out a dish in the sink without any issues. The protector appears to be of good quality and is worth buying. The only issue is the appearance of the protector. It doesn't fully cover the sink and leave it partially unprotected.
