I'm very tough on these punches, I use them to punch holes in pieces of sheet metal and many different thicknesses of plastic. This punch is holding up very well so far. It's out lasted many other punches I've used. If you're not as crazy as me and don't abuse your punch, this should last a long time.

My use case for this device was to punch holes in plant labels so I could attach them to the upper part of the plant for easier identification. I use old milk cartons for tags and some tags that came with seed trays. This hole punch can't get through the material. I tried a little harder and bent the handles. It might be OK for kids on single sheets of 20# paper but nothing else.
