    • Great Set with Lots of Variety
This set covers many uses and I can see it lasting a long time. Every item in the set boasts rubber grip handles and have smooth stainless-steel blades. Roller cutter: I especially like the thicker rubbery handle on the roller cutter which makes it easy to hold on to. The curve before the blade lets you apply pressure if going through many layers of fabric without the worry of your thumb slipping onto the blade. The safety button is easy to use and holds well. If you use a roller cutter regularly you will appreciate that the safety for the blade pivots to the sides out of the way to cut thicker layers of fabric or cardboard. Who can complain about the extra 6 carbon steel blades? The bent scissors work well on fabric and leave a nice smooth cut. The center pivot is a little tight, but I’m hopping it will loosen with use. The handle grip doesn’t work very well for me though. It seems small and I feel I have to hold on to it tight. Thread snipper: nice and sharp and works well. It comes with a little clear rubber cap on the tip which can be easy to lose and doesn’t seem to be a permanent cover. I’m not sure what the large loop is for. It gets in my way and seems unnecessary for a thread clipper (I guess you could use it to put on a lanyard). It also has blades that are attached with small screws for adjustments if needed. Detailed scissors: I’ve been using these for snipping thin jewelry wires and is doing the job great. One of the blades has groves to hold items from sliding on the blade.     • Great set of scissors, very comfortable and smooth
Our kids tend to lose or bang up our scissors pretty badly. I keep one pair of nice scissors on my workbench they are not allowed to touch. But, eventually, they need something to cut with. This set looked to be a good replacement for our worn out scissors, and they were! They are very comfortable; they are covered in a soft-grip rubbery material. They are very tight - no sloppy hinges. They cut very smoothly; they are very sharp and cut straight. The circular cutter also worked smoothly; I don't really have an application for it, but I did test it on some paper and it worked fine. This is a really nice set of assorted cutting tools for sewing and fiber arts. Each item is individually packaged, but they all came bagged together. Singer is a really good brand that has been around for over 150 years, so the quality, comfort, and functionality of the tools is great. RECOMMENDATIONS: Highly Recommended. Have always been a fan of singer brand. I grew up in a dress shop that my mom owned and there's always been a consistent brand that we've used - singer. These scissors live up to the name! They are ergonomically designed and are very balanced to hold. The variety of scissors are great and each one of them are great on their own, but as a bundle, they are awesome.
