Using these on a battery for the winch on my trailer, meaning that I disconnect it most of the time and these clamps make it easy. The metal is nondescript, possibly cast aluminum, but suits the purpose. I’d guess any significant force would break something, but if you treat it with reasonable care it should be fine. Face it, you’re looking at a very cheap clamp and you’ll receive a very cheap clamp. It does work, though. If you need an easy way to hook up cables and to unlatch them again, this might be the set for you. If you’re looking for quality, durability and lasting appearance…don’t expect that for under ten bucks, bro. You’re going to shell out some cash for a high quality pair.

I installed these adapters on my Honda which has 2 thick cables coming to each terminals. It was quite tight to fit the wires into the clamps, I whish they were a bit wider or taller. Make sure you check the bolts that hold the cable clamp, in mine one of those bolts were the short instead of the long one making it impossible to tighten down the clamp. I was sitting there with the old terminal cut off already making me rethink my life. Luckily I was able to find a close match in my extensive left over bolt collection so I could finish the installation.

Be careful when "pre-bending" for larger or smaller terminal posts. I went a little too far trying to open up my positive post clamp and ended up breaking it.
