Frayed, ugly, misshapen, faded, but good for lathering as a washing bath rag with creamy shower soaps like dove. I also use it for dusting things like light fixtures, ac intake grill, slatted closet doors. Works with spray cleaner for counters, cabinets, floors, and to wash the car. I’ve used them about a year and they are frayed, they tangle with threads, and I’ve had to toss some, but I still have plenty with tons of life left in them. Also they do lint a bunch at first, and they dyed all my whites pink, but that was my fault. I should have known better than to wash red or pink rags with whites.

For what I bought the rags for, they're fine. I use them in the garage as shop rags, working on bikes and numerous projects. The rags measure 14"x 11 1/2" and they seem to be durable. It's not a huge loss if I do destroy one or a few with grease and/or oil, or gunk of some sort... they're shop rags and relatively inexpensive. I read either a review or the description stating they could make a decent informal napkin... perhaps, but they're not to absorbent, so they probably won't make it to our table any time soon. Yes I do recommend these rags (as shop rags!).

I've bought these a few times over the years and here's what they're NOT: 1. Soft 2. Thick 3. "White" 4. Highly Absorbent 5. All Exact Same Size They also have semi-finished edges, a few have loose strings, and some will fray in the wash. What They're Good For: 1. They produce and leave behind LESS lint and fibers than traditional cotton terry, microfiber, and paper towels. 2. Depending on use, what and how much gets on them--you can wash them or toss them w/o breaking the bank. 3. Their size, semi-rough texture, and relatively thin composition make them most useful for certain tasks around the home, garage, and work shop, such as wiping off smudges, grease, oil, solvent, adhesives, caulk, and paint from surfaces, tools, parts, fingers, etc. I find they work especially well for wiping off excess caulk and paint. I wet them down w/water beforehand. They also work well for some tougher cleaning jobs used in conjunction w/adhesive or paint remover, "Goo-Gone, "Goop," Iso Alcohol, Acetone, etc. I use softer, thicker, high quality terry towels where softness and absorbency are important, e.g., wiping down electronic screens, furniture, windows, mirrors and other glass/ceramics, metals, and other surfaces. Personally, I found microfiber towels leave lots of tiny fibers behind regardless of how many times they're washed, and are not very absorbent and not so soft. The exception are the thin, smooth-surface microfiber towels that work well for cleaning eye-wear and electronic screens. You can also buy larger ones for TV and computer screens. They're not very absorbent but work well to remove dust and minor smudges, w/o scratching or abrading surfaces.

I know what you're thinking.....re-usable toilet paper? HEAR ME OUT! It all started back in 2018 when all of the toilet paper was gone and we HAD to figure something out! I tried cutting small rags, but they just frayed and fell apart. I knew I had to find something better. These are the best little rags for this purpose! Other brands are way too small and you end up having to use 2....but these are slightly larger than your average and work perfectly! I had tried another companies "re-usable TP" but they were flannel....and at first that sounds great and soft.....but the surface area was almost TOO soft- you need some grit you know? Our set up: stack of these in a little basket at each toilet and a small wastebasket designated just for potty towels! Now- lets say we have a number 2.....regular toilet paper is definitely used first and flushed away. After that I actually grab a potty rag turn on warm water in the sink and do a quicksy little freshen up! I know a lot of people will use bidets instead of TP- but my problem with the bidet is being wet afterwards? ugh. Sometimes in the middle of the day you just need to freshen up down there you know? Grab a rag- wet half of one side of the rag-freshen up- pat dry with the dry part of the rag. VOILA! LAUNDRY: I wash these in their own load together. Nothing else. I wash them on mega hot with detergent and bleach. So don't worry....my other clothes aren't "touching" my potty rags.

Nice shop rags. Very absorbent . Perfect size for working on cars. Low lint. Fairly thick, but not too thick. Nice and lightweight. They work well. Better than using an old tee shirt or towel.
