Description

simplehuman's compact steel frame dishrack has a solid stainless steel frame that is space-efficient, but still has the capacity to handle full-size plates. It has a swivel spout that pivots so you can drain water directly into the sink, and it also can be removed for easy cleaning. An anti-residue coating prevents residue buildup and water spots. Silicone-capped wire rack holds dishes tightly without scratching or chipping. Anti-slip rubber feet keep the dishrack in place on the countertop. I love simple human products. I own a trash can and paper towel holder. This dish rack is much pricier than most dish racks, but it’s stain resistant and looks nice. The kitchen is what everyone will see and I like mine to look cleanlined with nicer items. The wine glass holder is a plus.

My husband always put half-cleaned dog toys and plastic containers on our old dish mat and it got disgusting fast, which grossed me out when we were trying to put CLEAN dishes there afterwards. I chose this dish drain because it can be used either fore-and-aft or turn it 90º sideways, beside the sink, and that you can aim where the draining water goes, according to your placement of it. I also like that you can rotate the main bin 180º, depending upon whether you prefer the plate spikes at one end or the other of it. It's sometimes nice that you can position the silverware holder at either end of the bin, but if it's at the plate-spikes end, it does take up precious space there. We like to use the stemware racks for drying small cutting boards, which stand up nicely in them (but be aware that the drip tray below them does not have any drainage and relies on evaporation -- not a real problem for us, but the edges of cutting boards may stay wet). Note that it's pretty large, as dish drains go, and would not fit in a small area. It also cannot be folded down/collapsed at all, which is absolutely fine for us, but not so good if you need to conserve counter space. ... show more

Someone I know had this dish drainer and I noticed how versatile it is and how it hold ALOT of dishes. I finally bought my own and i have to say love it so much. My old Simplehuman dish drainer disintegrated, so when this one got top reviews, I decided it probably do. It is very practical, but the heavy, industrial design and color does clash with my old-fashioned, small rustic kitchen. I don't think this would he a problem for many people. I do miss the "wooden" knife rack on the old dish drainer, but the wine glass drying feature is a plus. ... show more
