Very pretty. Exactly as shown in the picture. Holds a standard size paper towel roll. The base is heavy enough that you can tear off a paper towel with one hand and it doesn’t slide across the counter. But it is not so heavy that it is difficult to move. They really hit the sweet spot on the right heaviness for the base. The flowers and butterfly decorations have held up great for over a year now, even with rough kids using it. Would definitely recommend.

It's real sturdy. The bottom is heavy in a good way. When pulling off a sheet of the towel, it doesn't fly or move, making it easy to tear off one towel. Because of the way the dowel has these spring things, they keep the roll from just turning nonstop. Between the weight of the bottom and the way the towel dowel is made, it's just amazing. It's black stainless steel. Worth the money.

I bought this 6 months ago and loved it. I would still love it if it didn't fail. The part that holds the paper towels became loose and wobbly. I figured no big deal and tightened it. That same day it happened again. I tightened it again and not only did it loosen again right away, the clicking mechanism that keeps it from rolling out stopped. Now, in case anyone thinks I'm rough on this thing, there are only two adults in my house and we use those half sheets, never a full sheet. So it's not like we're pulling on this thing uncontrollably. I expect products to last longer than 6 months when being used properly. Buy at your own risk. Maybe you'll get lucky.
