Borla is the BEST overall Value and performance . I had this unit put in on my B7 A4 ( 3 years ago). It does not make sense to send $500-$700 MORE! for brands like Millteck, APR, Neuspeed. .... Borla uses the same grade steel... the welds where very good and the tips are great! My A4 is APR Stage III.. Direct pipe/cat delete, ECU Mod, K&N Drop in filter. its important to realize that this unit and ALL exhaust is not a stand alone upgrade.. for desired performance upgrade. BUT a vital part of the system to draw in AIR.. turn it to HP.. and Kick it out. GET THIS UNIT and you wil delighted.

pipes did not even line up after I took it out off the box. It was not welded straight. Then when I finally got it together and put on it hit the dive shaft. If the actual fitment was better this could easily be 4 or 5 stars because it sounds stock at idle and you get a nice tone in acceleration. I expect more for something I paid almost a grand for.

I installed this system on my 03 A4 Quattro to replace the stock system that was old and cracked. It sounds great, and was well priced. The system itself although not visible once installed looks very nice and appears to be excellent quality. Looks the same as stock from the rear. Pros: Overall great product. excellent sound, quality, and price. Cons (READ IF YOU OWN QUATTRO): On my QUATTRO one of the hangers consistently digs into the rear drive shaft when I made left hand turns. It was a pretty horrendous grind / pinging. I had to do some modifications to get this to stop. If you are buying this for a Quattro I would let whoever installs it know to look out for the hanger in the rear half that is closest to the drive shaft and see if they can do something for you to add some extra clearance, I only added maybe and it never grinds anymore. This would not be an issue on a FWD A4.

Fits my 04 Audi A4 1.8 but the resonator or first mufflers rub on the drive shaft right by the rear diff. Had to mod my hangers to get a noise free fit. Let them run for a week or two before you judge the sound. The carbon build up makes it sound good!!! No drone on the highway but a very nice growl when you get on it. I'm now a borla fan for life. I used magnaflow and flowmasters but the borla is by far the best I've used for sound and performance gains!

Bought this to replace an aging factory exhaust that had rusted beyond the point of repair. This was about $300 cheaper than the OEM unit, and rust should not be an issue since it's stainless steel. My mechanic said it was not hard to install. It isn't loud at all but has a nice sound, which is nice because I just wanted an OEM replacement; I'm not into tuning. The tips stick out a little farther than the OEM tips, which I guess is intended to show off the Borla logo on the tips. Overall I'm happy with it and wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to others that are looking for an OEM alternative. Someone looking for performance gains or a certain kind of exhaust sound would likely be disappointed.

Easy to install but you will need to make sure your down pipe has a flare to accept the mid pipe. Does not come with the clamp to fasten to the factory front pipe coming from the flex pipe. I purchased a Bosal 800-095 down pipe and had to have it flared and buy a U bolt to attach to the system.
