Update: contacted simple modern over email and was sent an updated cup which I hope survives longer. As usual, I should have bought from the company directly from the beginning. Old review: Only survived 2 months, was dropped on the gym floor at school and lid broke.

Super bummed with this water bottle. The lid was broken into two pieces, simple modern always comes with an extra straw and this one did not have the extra. It also had water marks in the bottom of the bottle. Seems very much like we got a used/returned water bottle

Insulates well, however the handle broke on the 2nd day of school. My son says he dropped the water bottle and when he picked it up the handle was only attached on one side. I thought maybe he was making up a story, but here we are about a month into school and I watched my daughter drop her water bottle (literally just slipped out of her hands on the way out the door this morning) and it spilled everywhere! The threads of the top detached from the lid and silly me thought I could just put it back together, fill it back up and send her on her way. I have purchased this cup twice now, both times the lid has broken from very small insignificant drops. 2 separate areas of break as well.
