I am writing this review a little too early! It has only been 2 weeks of school, and the bag is doing fine - holding up well. But then again - just 2 weeks! Hope I remember to come back and update it if it falls apart. This is for a first grade girl, in NYC school system. It is large enough to fit everything she needs for school. The bag holds its shape and doesn't slump down in a heap (which is always my personal pet peeve, don't think my daughter cares). She's also an Avengers fan, so it worked out well. The colors and print are exactly as shown in the picture - and I think it looks very pretty. Straps are comfortable, daughter loves the sternum strap, though she has loosened it to a point where it is not useful, but her bag isn't that heavy to warrant it (they don't need to carry the chromebooks back and forth). Bottomline, I like it. And for $40 I hope it lasts a few years. ... show more

I've purchased a new bookbag for my 14 yr old every year. Fresh year, fresh bookbag, right?! Now my 2nd child has started kindergarten and this has been, hands down, my FAVORITE bag to date. The size is perfect, (he had a huge bag for pre-k last year mostly because he wanted a Ninja Turtle one and I couldn't find a smaller size one) functionality and the quality is just amazing. I'd definitely recommend. There's 2 mesh side pockets and 2 pockets on the front of the bag. In the inside you can put a tablet or small laptop I think, which we won't be using, at least for now, and another pocket which I believe is pretty deep. My only gripe was we had to wait way longer than expected. My first ordered was cancelled, due to the package being damaged, and when I reordered it was $10 more. Very disappointed about that and had to wait like 2 wks for it to come in. Little guy was stoked when it came in though. ... show more

The color and the characters on the school bag so cute. Our granddaughter loves all the little princesses. The pockets are deep you can put so many things and all the pockets. They’re big lots of room the thickness of the straps it’s comfortable for her they don’t hurt her highly recommend this product for any little girl. Specially, going to kindergarten and preschool very easy to hold. Our granddaughter loves it. This backpack is the perfect size for my 4.5 year old who started Pre-K this August. She loves the underwater theme and the material is nice. The straps are comfortable to her and the zippers have been working quite well so far. It has an inside pocket that is great to put her take home folder in, and plenty of outside pockets to store her afternoon snack, water bottle, and other miscellaneous things. So we had originally gotten the medium size ninja turtle backpack and it did hold a folder without bending the corners but it literally didn't hold much else except an extra pair of clothes. We liked the backpack so much, we returned the medium and got the large. The large is a bit big on my child but I'm hoping it lasts a few years. It also holds way more than the medium.
