It allows you to separate your whites and darks, it comes with two bags with handles so you can easily pull the clothing out of the hamper, and the bags attach to pieces of Velcro to keep it in place which I find easy to attach and detach. This is an excellent hamper for the price! It arrives compact (which means it's also easy to move, for students or year-by-year renters, for example). This also is the reason some say it's 'flimsy' - it isn't a solid plastic/metal/wood hamper, but that's also not what you're paying for. You won't be able to put anything down on top of it, for example. I love that it has 2 separate compartments so we can sort our laundry as we put it in, so laundry day is a breeze! There are mesh bag inserts with handles that are held up by Velcro straps so they stay in the hamper well, but pull out easily to bring to the washer. There is space for only as much as can fit in a laundry load, so it's perfect - when one is full, you start that load! Great add to our bathroom renovation and at this price point, I'd buy it again. ... show more

I've used this hamper for 3 years now and I'm very satisfied with it. The two compartments allow for quick sorting of laundry and the removable bags make it easy to transport laundry to the laundry room. The bags are pretty sturdy, in my experience. While I like the design, there are things that can be better. 1) the item arrived stained and I didn’t realize until after I built it. Unfortunately it’s in the front. 2) the color is more of a darker pink than I’d like. 3) building it was easy, but the top doesn’t align well with the hamper. 4) I can see the magnetics being a problem in the future, because they aren’t very strong.
