This chalk appears a much lighter color purple than the felt we ended up putting on our table. Though you can technically say "That's not the chalk's fault!" and that statement is true, really, the picture made it look pretty dark and I doubt you'll find a much lighter purple felt anywhere. It brushes off pretty easy, but it genuinely hurts playing on brand new, gorgeous purple felt and the first time you hit the cue ball, a small explosion effect of VERY noticeable chalk coats the felt beneath it. I'm not really putting the product down - it does it's job. It's cue chalk. I just want to issue a warning to anyone with purple felt - unless it's a dull purple felt, (Our felt is referred to as just purple, though I'd call it Royal Purple if asked,) you'll be brushing chalk dust explosions away after each shot, or your table will look like a disaster. ... show more

They say all chos made the same this talks pretty good great coverage on the tip with the queue does not how do I say does not fly off like most I used to use the blue chalk I found it once you got into it a little bit it tended to crumble and when you put it on the cube it didn’t stick well unless you moisten the tip a little bit and discharge does not do that today I think it works really well I bought this color because it match the cloth on my pool table but you need to find something that works for you but this is a good chalk nevertheless ... show more

    • Don't like color of olive when seen in person but seems fine otherwise

I'm going to give 5 stars because I don't want to mess up the rating and I think it likely is good check. I just wanted to make a comment about the olive chalk. My mistake. I got this because I like the idea of olive color chalk. But in practice it is problematic. When you apply it, the color is so close to the color of the cue tip it is impossible to tell if you've applied it fully. Also this is worse if you are far sighted. All this is my fault in selection of color but thought it worth saying something for others to consider if they think about getting this color as well. I think pretty much any other color aside from brown and olive are good. ... show more

I ordered what looked like navy blue. I got a very light baby blue or aquamarine. So I thought that maybe they just sent the wrong one. (BTW, there is no color listed on the box) When I got the replacement, same thing. Their coloring is way off, it's not even close. I am definitely returning it.

The chalk is fine, but the box looked like it was opened then taped back closed and only 11 chalks inside. Amazon, getting a little tired of s.. t like this. Happening too much. At least it’s made in Ga.

We haven’t used this on any poolsticks yet. If it’s less than what I think currently I’ll update my review, but it’s definitely pool chalk. Nothing fancy, but the color is right and I did receive all 12 pieces unlike some of the other reviews. Some of them were slightly cracked, but I think that was just my delivery driver’s doing. They should wrap it in bubble wrap or something. ... show more

My felt is dark blue and this is more like the standard lighter blue so it easily shows on the table. Very disappointed (although I have not been able to find actual dark blue anywhere).

Price and quantity is what I had in mind when I bought this chalk which is for a tan cloth pool table. The price was the best I could find along with the quantity and quality. Free shipping from Amazon Prime is a plus too.
