This works for me for my hormonal acne in combination with rx gel. Neither could clear it alone but used together I'm more clear than pre-puberty. Occasional trouble with the light shutting off while on my face so I don't notice. It clears the acne by killing the bacteria on face. So REMEMBER IT. The device won't help anything else except KILLING the bacteria. For me, my acnes are from the allergic reaction. I hoped the device could relieve the pain from the acnes a little when I bought it. But it doesn't work for it.

    • Amazing results when used consistently
I purchased this device after a long battle with acne. I am 24 and I have had moderate but extremely stubborn acne ever since I was a teenager. I've tried many over-the-counter and prestige brands, different active ingredients and formulations, a Clarisonic, and several prescription topical treatments (including tretinoin for a year--my skin could never adjust to it). I never had very good results, and I hadn't gone a day in my life without a pimple since my acne began. I was frustrated out of my mind, as I'm sure many acne sufferers are. I purchased the device in January and began using it about 3 times per week, for around 30 minutes per session. I find it's very convenient to leave by my bed and use when I watch television or read. I move it over my face, and the warmth feels nice and soothing. I always sanitize the surface with rubbing alcohol before use, to make sure I'm not spreading bacteria. I haven't had any issues with it malfunctioning. The light turns on when in contact with my skin, then turns off when I pull it away. There is also an internal fan that comes on sometimes. I began noticing results after 2 months. My skin started clearing up, I wasn't getting as many new pimples, and the ones I did get cleared up quickly. It's been 3.5 months now, and I'm pretty much acne-free. I ~maybe~ get a pimple once per week, but even then it's small, doesn't get inflamed, and clears up within a day or two. At the moment I have no pimples, and I have many pimple free days now (and like I said before... that hasn't happened since pre-puberty). I've stopped using topical acne treatments because I don't need them anymore, and now I just use a good basic cleanser, an oil-free moisturizer, a glycolic wash a couple times per week to exfoliate, and a vitamin-C serum to clear up some of my old acne scars (which are fading pretty quickly now that I'm not getting new ones!!). I'm ecstatic about this product. I've had several makeup-free days at work, which I would have NEVER done before. Even if I fall asleep with my makeup on by accident, I don't break out. I feel so much more confident, and I'm spending way less money on acne treatment products. It's such a bonus, too, that I never have to replace any cartridges or anything. Obviously, everybody's skin is different, and everybody's acne is different. That being said, this product is definitely worth a shot if you can commit to using it consistently for a 2-3 month trial period. I've tried a LOT of acne treatments and systems, and this is the only thing that has gotten me anywhere near pimple free for any length of time. So, so happy I bought this device. ... show more

I don't think this worked for me. I wanted to return it but apparently the cut off was Feb 1st so I missed it by 5 days. Now I'm stuck with it. I used it as directed but it didn't seem to help decrease my breakouts. It says you have to use it for a while before you see improvement so makes no sense that you get such a short time to see if it helps. ... show more

This device is amazing! I have battled adult acne for years and have tried almost everything (except accutane) to treat it: proactiv, aczone, clindamycin, retinoids, etc. While my skin improved some with these products, I still broke out pretty regularly. But now that I'm using the Silk'n Blue I am not breaking out at all! I have been using it for about six weeks. While I didn't find that it cleared my existing acne any faster, once that acne went away on its own I completely stopped breaking out. I still use my prescription acne medication with the Silk'n Blue just because I worry that it won't be as effective for me without them, but I may start reducing my use of those to see if this is all I need. My only complaint, and it is a minor one, is that the surface area of the device is quite small so it does take an investment of time each night to use it properly. But now that my acne is cleared up I only target my real problem areas which has cut down on the amount of time I have to do it each night. ... show more

I bought this for my son he had alot of acne on his back, chest and forehead. We used this along with other over the counter acne treatments and it takes forever to do and it did nothing for him. I will point out he did have bad acne

I've been using this thing for two days and I'm already noticing a difference! I was really sceptical, but so far I'm impressed. I'm a 30 year old woman whose acne never stopped. I've tried lots of different over-the-counter lotions, potions, and cleansers. Some things maybe kinda helped, but the Silk'n Blue is the first thing that I can difinitively say has prevented blemishes from maturing. I could feel spots where breakouts were imminent, but they have now almost completely receded after 2 treatments. Some spots of scarring have also been reduced faster than normal as well. We'll see what happens after more treatments! I decided to try Blue because I'm getting married in the Caribbean in a few months. We have lots of fun activities planned that will definitely involve pictures where my makeup has washed off. I don't want to be self conscious of acne the whole time, so my purchase of Blue was kind of a Hail Mary. I'm spending too much money on the wedding to afford expensive dermatologists right now.
