These work well for our cast iron when they are too hot to handle. I have found you should pull them off when not in use, and replace them when you are ready to grab the pan- otherwise they do tend to warm up and get hot. Other than that we have used these about everyday for 6 mo and they are holding up great ... show more

We left these on while cooking and they come all the way to the skillet. We have a gas range so some of them burned from the flame. It’s a good concept but we have to leave them off and then put them on when we are ready to transfer our skillet. At that point I would just use a hot mat anyway so not sure I would buy again.
