These are thick, not flimsy and they work well. I use mine on my black iron skillet and I keep it on my handle the whole time and it does not get hot. You may feel a little warmth when you grab it but it's not hot. I recommend!!

These are nice to have. I think they are made for cast iron cookware but I just need them for my stainless steel pans. I find it hard to hold onto the uncoated handles when I need to tilt the pan and pour out the contents. These give me the grip I need. I do a lot of my own cooking and any pan that I have on the stove has one of these handles. They have prevented me from getting burned when I touch the handle to move the pan e.g. They will heat up a bit so care is still needed but they do provide a layer of safety for me. In use every day here.

To me, they work just as well as the branded silicone handles. Bonus, these come in fun colors. They fit our lodge cast iron pans just fine. They also seem to be holding up to high heat better than the original lodge brand too.
